With a million dining choices, upscale or otherwise, I think you will be alright. Certainly not cray-cray.

Take Mike's advice, it should get you in somewhere.

If you wanted to vent, you've succeeded.

If you wanted help, you might have stated:

    1)General location
    2)Dates
    3)Cuisine
    4)Number in your party
    5)Price point

I'm sure that someone could have made a suggestion

What are you in the mood for?

    And have you tried OpenTable?

Not quite in the same area, but StripSteak in Mandalay Bay was pretty dead at 7PM on a Friday night 2 weeks ago and the food is similar to some of the other places you mentioned.

Circus Circus steakhouse has an opening for a party of 6, Friday Night April 14th at 7PM. Since you've provided NO details other than a steakhouse, that's all I can do.

NOTE: Circus Circus steakhouse is one of the "hidden gems" on the strip.

Have you tried Strip House at Planet Hollywood, just checked and all sorts of reservations available, great steak house. If you are serious there are too many options and all you have to do is check. Center Cut at Flamingo, BLT at Bally's, Old Homestead at Caesars, many choices at Palazzo etc etc etc.....................Rick

StripSteak is at MB, but you're right on the money - wide open for reservations on Friday and Saturday night, upscale steakhouse with excellent service. They also have probably the best sprouts I've ever eaten. BLT is also fantastic.

EDIT: I just realized you meant Strip House at PH, in which case the location is much better than StripSteak.

I have never had to have a reservation at V/P and I end up at CUT once a trip. We just walk up and ask for a table. Lol Did you try eating a little earlier? What about Carnevino?

Carnevino is showing 10:30. I just hate going to dinner at 5:00. By the time we go up to the room and the wifey gets ready, heck you'd have to start at 3ish and that's in the middle of the day! No thanks!

Go give the hostess $20 when you get there and there will be a seat. They hold tables for high rollers.

Restaurants will limit their opentable availability on busy weekends because they know they will have alot of walk ins and phone ins. Call the restaurants you are interested in to see of they have room.

I know this as I used to work for opentable.

I agree! Like I said I've never needed a reservation anywhere. If you want to try a brand new restaurant like Zuma at Cosmo, you may need one, but it's Vegas. Tip hostess and walk right in any of those you mentioned.

Is it really that packed this weekend? I thought it would be empty by virtue of Easter.

A lot of people may have the extra long weekend off and taking advantage to hit up Vegas. My kids are off over a week of school starting Friday, so it's a good time to take a vacation. I'm surprised how many people go for Thanksgiving! Easter Bunny can find you in your Vegas hotel too! ;)
