I had a great trip but boy I forgot just how many bonus rounds are crap shoots.

No exaggeration I had better bonuses on all my mid/low level bets vs. high/max.

This is why I like to watch the youtubers that show live play along with just the big wins and the ones that do live streams from the casino floors. Then you see how it really is for them - same as us! Mostly crap wins and occasionally a couple of good hits.

If the youtubers showed the "real" slot experience - there would be fewer people watching - who wants to see a 2x -10x bonus? Or the $20-$40 run through a machine and never getting a hit that is more than your bet? If they kept posting all of those, no one would watch!

Enjoy them for what they are, but remember they are more like a "scripted reality" show than actual reality!

No game with a bonus should ever be set up so there's any possibility of getting like a $12 bonus on a $3 or $4 bet. A game like that, you should never do another spin on.

That's what always seems to happen to me. On my last trip i was hitting some good bonus's and got scared so i stopped when i reached a hundred. I should have kept playing but i wanted to try other machines. I should have put the rest of my money into it because i didn't win on any other machine.

I stopped watching the YouTube videos for this very reason.
Granted I still upload my own though.

I find them closer to reality, I've had 7-10 free spin bonuses that win 0 online as well as in the casino. At least with the games like WOF the wheel has to land on something so you will at least win 10.

Yea, I've had a high limit slot payout 600 on a bonus on 100+ a spin...very annoying when you've invested well over a couple thousand.

I love watching YouTube to see how the newest machines work. It seems that the big bonuses at the east coast casinos are Vetter than the west or Midwest. At least they were the last time I logged into youtube.

Maybe that's one of the many reasons gambling is down in vegas? I figured those low paying machines that give you under $50 for a screen full of symbols would eventually turn everyone off. : (
