I saw a news story about her and was curious of her background. Born in LV and her mom was a dancer and part of the Follies Bergere show at the Trop and her dad was a LV sheriff. Her mom died before she was 2 of melanoma and her dad went broke trying to get her cancer cured. After that they moved around and were pretty poor and she was raped twice as a teenager. Amazing that she has survived. I say kudo's to her for making it in life and cashing in on her career and possibly, just possibly having for once, a semi normal life. Any one of us under those circumstances could be dead by now.

As a side note, my long time host at the Mirage that is now at Wynn was a dancer for years before she became a host....my guess would be she probably knew her mom.

 

Her body of work was kept behind the saloon doors at our local video store, what my parents called "the cowboy section."

My first time in there I was surprised not to find any John Wayne or Slim Pickens!

Yes, I remember her story, they showed it on E! Hollywood story many years ago.

Yes, she was good in her heyday but now is considered over the hill compared to all the young uns in the business now. She was a trendsetter at the time.
