Heading to Vegas later this month for work... not a huge fan of the mega clubs with the massive cover charges... any suggestions of where to go?? Staying at Paris from a Saturday-Wednesday.

Cosmo's Chandelier bars are very good. Carnaval Court is also very good.

I would suggest doing pre sale tickets and check out one of the major mega pools like Encore Beach Club, Wet Republic or Marquee Beach Club on Sunday. You can just go to their website and purchase it.

Do you prefer bars or club type atmosphere? The best night our group probably ever had was at Gold Diggers in the Golden Nugget. When you can walk in from Fremont Street casually dressed and end up leaving at last call with no intentions of staying out that late....that's a good night and a lot less costly vs the mega clubs on the strip.

Years ago, we were staying at Paris as well and actually they have decent night club call "château" and Garden (it's big patio of Chateau) as I recall crowed wasn't that bad perhaps lots of 30s age group(?) Chateau did get crowed (Saturday night) and we went outside to patio it was playing totally different type of music and felt so refreshing; it's pretty good view looking over strip - right next to Eiffel Tower as well.
But best thing is if you are guest of hotel you don't pay any cover charge nor have to wait - after we checked in we called concierge and have them arrange admission to club, they told us show up around 1130? And we didn't have to pay nor really waited in line for long( there was separate line for invited guest) if you want to try the club call concierge and ask them about it. good luck and have awesome time. We did!

I second Chateau, definitely a bit older, but much more sophisticated

Thanks for the suggestions. Will try to check out Chateau on Saturday night when we arrive as that's the only night it's open when we are there. As for the question above as to whether I prefer a night club or bar the preference is bar but I have no issues checking out a night club (especially if we can get in free) at least 1 of the nights we are there.

Hyde at the Bellagio might be an option... More of a lounge feel than a club to me.

If you prefer a bar, go to Planet Hollywood. Great age mix, great music and you can get comp drinks at one of the two bars. The other bar doesn't comp :(

Cromwell also has a great bar vibe. Honestly, I have more fun going between CET casinos than I do at the higher tier properties. Think I may cancel Venetian now that I think about it.

We're heading out in July. 2 guys in their early 40s. Definitely not into the club scene (can't stand most EDM) and would like somewhere relaxed but still fun. We are both into 80s-90s rock music. When I think of fun, I think of a rocking bar, loud music, people doing shots...

We're staying at the Flamingo and will be spending the day at the Go Pool. Anywhere on the strip with a place like I described? I read some reviews on Rockhouse but it seemed more like a resturant-dive bar than a dive bar that just happens to sell food.

Can you describe the location of the one that does do comp drinks?

There are two bars right off the casino floor at PH. We were at the Extra Lounge in December. It was later on a Sunday night so it wasn't too busy but they did comp drinks from playing Video Poker while sitting at the bar. The bartender just watched us put our cards in and play a little before he started serving us. Pretty decent for people watching.

We also sat in Nacho Daddys on the corner there for awhile. Did a couple of Scorpion Tequila shots and drank some beers. They had some tunes going but again it's like a restaurant with a big bar in the middle.

It looks like both bars comp drinks -- I just had a shit bartender. Planet Hollywood might be my new home base...really loved the updated Resort rooms. Too bad I still gambled and lost lol. I spent a huge bankroll that I was hoping to avoid spending.

    Bound at Cromwell
    Clique at Cosmo
    The Dorsey at Venetian
Skyfall or Foundation Room at MB
    Parlor Bar at Mirage
    Whiskey Down at MGM
    Lily at Bellagio...

...would be my suggestions for your age group. Good crowds, good cocktails, minimal ******bags.

Piano bar at NYNY is EXCELLENT. We have been multiple times and always enjoy it. They play all types of music. Last time we were there one guy broke out the electric guitar.
