slightly off topic, does anyone know what they are building between ballys and Ellis Island

big white tent, concrete slab, big A/C so its not a temporary popup, it did have a small sign that said "Monopoly millionaire maker"

Ellis Island is awesome. Always had a blast there- and usually came out ahead.
Food is great for the $, beer is good (especially for free when gambling,) and the atmosphere is a nice break from the strip. They had a seasonal beer in November that was really good.
The walk is quick (not sure anyone should do it alone late at night lol,) and I, for the first time, heard the song Bossa Nova while there in Nov. 2016. They have random dealers jump on stage to do a song.
Can't believe I'd never heard this song before.

My wife and I keep thinking that we will make it the Ellis each trip, but we often go in summer when it is hot as Hades. We are going this week and just might make the walk over to Ellis.

Really more of a platform with a few stairs. Stage is probably the wrong word. I was playing vp with a friend right in front of the taco place and thought it was a live band for a minute (couldn't see that area very well) then walked over and someone told me they have "dealertainers" or something like that. Was actually really good. I think 3 dealers took turns doing a song each.

Caesar's owns that lot. It is not constructing anything there.

I believe that tent is where they film a TV game show for the lottery.

Monopoly Millionaire Maker is an annual promotion the locals run. The local winners come to Vegas for a chance to win a million bucks. It's probably where the game will be played or it is for special events related to the promotion.

I believe the dealertainers from the old IP/Quad moved to EI.

I didn't pay too close attention, as I was blinded by "full pay" VP, but I sure didn't notice them at EI in September.

I didn't see that they were still there when I was there in late 2016.

We were at Ellis last Feb. and I am pretty sure someone from the staff started singing at that stage. She only did one song. I can't remember the song but remember thinking her voice was pretty good. Maybe they only do it on certain nights?

We finally made it there a few years ago. We were staying at Bellagio and decided to get up early and walk to Ellis for breakfast ( we needed the exercise anyway). Short walk over and back, breakfast was good and cheap (lots of cabbies eating there at the time). We played slots for awhile, friendly folks and staff. Went back another time with friends and really enjoyed the karaoke and earned slot points - enough to get a discount for the cheap steak dinner which was good but not memorable.

This, EI and SD are one of the many reasons I like staying at Ballys.

I do miss the beer and a shot of horrible bourbon for $2 though, both great places after you've got your butt kicked on the strip!

You are correct Breanna. They have been there for some time, but I don't think they sing every evening.
