I just booked 2 nights. Deluxe Strip View. $89 plus tax comes to $101 each night. No resort fees.

But they didn't send am email confirmation and the screen print I took says the Resort Fee will be collected at the resort. I am going to call later and verify what I have booked.

With that offer, they will ask you at check in if you want to use the amenities that come with the resort fee. If you tell them yes, you will pay resort fees. Tell them no, you won't, but you won't get free wi-fi or the myriad of other things you probably won't use either.

As for taxes, when you go to book it, click the Rate Breakdown link under the Book Now button or look to the left on the page you enter your guest details.

If you book certain offers, they are.
Their TV Ad Special has had optional resort fees for several years and a lot of their player's club promotions have this perk as well.

I can't find anything that says "resort fees" can be waived? What if I get there and "excuse me sir" resort fee?

    http://www.treasureisland.com/hotel/1/deluxe-rooms#resortfees

Resort fees are required, and in addition to the room rates displayed online with the exception that resort fees are optional only for MyTI Guestbook members that book our exclusive TV Ad Special offer as well as for qualified TI Players Club casino members, and select meeting groups that book directly with the hotel. For those who confirm one of the aforentioned qualified bookings and decline the optional resort fee, the resort fee amenities would then need to be purchased separately.

Once you click the "Book Now" button on their site, you will see what is included in that offer on your left.

MGM remodeled the rooms sometime around the Great Recession and then sold the place to Ruffin

Ruffin changed up a bunch of the restaurants and put in the drug store shopping area
