I'll be heading to Vegas in mid-July - will spend Monday and Tuesday nights Downtown (at the Golden Nugget and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on the Strip (at Flamingo.). I will be looking for some Karaoke. Anybody know the best places that offer it these nights?.

I'm hoping one of these days my bride will come and join me behind the mic for a nice rendition of Love Shack.

Perhaps that magic will happen at E.I. on our next trip!

I will give this one bump to see if anything is new on the Karaoke front.

Any good karaoke downtown? We will be there in a couple of weeks and looking for monday or Tuesday downtown.

Looks like we will be hitting planet Ho thursday or friday. Any recent reports?

Heard some people saying the karaoke at Vince Neil's in Circus Circus is good fun. Didn't go personally just from what I was told.

I was at Ellis Island one night when karaoke was going on. I consider myself to be a pretty decent singer, but I would have been intimidated to sing that night (and I ain't a shy one!). They sounded like pros. Maybe it was just a good night for it, but I got the impression that people there take it pretty seriously!

I heard some pretty mediocre karaoke at Ellis Island and then some that was really bad, but that was one of us. :haha:

Nicholas Cage prefers Ellis Island. From USA Today

There are several karaoke venues in Las Vegas, and Ellis Island has been one of the most popular since the late '80s. Running every night from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. (4 a.m. on weekends), Ellis Island features a state-of-the-art sound system and one of the most extensive and current music libraries in the city. The place is a favorite of after-shift casino workers and other locals who mix with a steady stream of tourists. And don't be surprised to see someone famous taking part -- Nicholas Cage, Drew Carey, Joey Fatone, Brett Michaels, and a couple of "Housewives of …" are the latest to be spotted here, mic-in-hand. After your performance, grab some great grub at the awesome 24-hour Ellis Island Café.

If your bride won't and we have a trip that coincides....I will: Love Shack is a favourite of mine for karaoke.

Yes! Ellis Island! A few years ago my wife and I were there listening to Karaoke. A guy was really good, so I complemented him afterward. He said thanks, he'd just gotten out from doing four years for manslaughter and was thrilled to be doing it. He wanted to be my buddy after that so we figured it was time to retreat!

Thanks for bumping this post! I'm a newbie one these boards and will be going to Vegas for my 40th Birthday the last week of August. (Only my second time visiting too) One of my birthday priorities is to do some karaoke. Ellis Island sounds like the place to be for me!!
