Dare I Start a Live TR? Downtown Grand and MSS for USBC Nationals March 30-April 4

Against my better judgement, I will begin this live-ish TR. Driving from SAn Diego to LV with the ultimate goal of bowling USBC Nationals at South Point. The truth is, I'm here for gambling first and bowling second in true degenerate style.

Plan: one night at Downtown Grand to try it out (hey, they offered). The rest of the nights are at Main Street Station on a silver card (all eating and drinking Downtown free at non premium outlets).

I'm a VP player but I have a soft spot in my heart for slots and craps.

Good luck on the tourney, in the casino and especially keeping your TR live. Do n't want anyone getting on you if it somehow does not meet up to their expectations.

This was my first big hand of the trip, Royal Flush playing dimes. Before I even got a 4OAK. Kind of nice to get them quick and early!

 

Good luck up there. I had friends that went to the USBC but alas they have enough bowlers. I never bowled in reno either, one day I want to see their bowling stadium. I also want to see the bowling stadium at southpoint but they are only open during the big tournaments.

 

Now that's what I'm talking about! A RF on quarters at Downtown Grand holding only 2! Those are such a sweet surprise.

 

Thanks! Honestly, you're not missing much at South Point. The "stadium" is just a two-sided bowling center with huge scoring screens.

Oh, so the "arena" is similar to their regular alleys with alleys on both side of the walkway. Still interesting, I never bowled in a high ceilinged alley before. Guess that's why I'm interesting in going to bowl in reno to see their stadium one day.
