What are you ideas about acts or shows you think will do well in vegas...?

    My ideas are
    1. Grease....the Live TV event did well and it will pull the 40+ crowd
    2. My dream show, would be a broadway production based on the Bee Gees music
    3. Bon Jovi
    4. Finally The Boss...Bruce Springsteen

    1) U2
    2) Chilli Peppers
    3) Adele
    4) Take That (rumoured to be going)

Queen (with Freddie Mercury) would have mesmerised Vegas

What they need downtown is Maury.

Could have it during the day and serve booze. man that would be fun to see some people caught in lie detectors and paternity tests. love that show.

Plenty of people in Vegas willing to get a free dna test no doubt. Probably would not go over as well on the strip but would probably be a big hit downtown.

vegas also needs some disco stuff. Not that i am a huge fun but lots of people like the music. usually you get 80's rock or motown, they treat disco like it doesnt exist.

Also an old school place like where ricky ricardo performed. little round tables with a dance floor and live big band. every once in a while the act would come out and sing a few hits and then back to the dancing and drinking. would be fun to wear a suit and what not like back in the day.

I think a revival of Smokey Joe's Cafe would play well to boomers. Kinky Boots is another show I would like to see get a shot. I agree Grease would play well and should translate the age divide. And if it were me would pursue Patti LaBelle for a residency

Springsteen would probably not play in any casino. He's never performed in AC. I think he's anti casino, although I'm not 100% certain.

Maury would work at the D. Already need to scream to hear yourself. I am sure there are enough trailer parks around to get people on the show

Madonna would be another option that I think would pull a lot of people.

Kylie Minogue. The gal knows how to put on a production like no other when it comes to arena shows - I'd love to see what her production team would do with a months long sit down show.

Janet Jackson would be great - however her attendance on normal tours is spotty at best. She could put on a huge production. Britney/J Lo have possibly already cornered the market - however Janet would attract a different audience and would be a big draw,

Definitely Take That - their shows are spectaculars that would fit in - but would they consistently fill a big room when they would be reliant almost exclusively on international tourists and a few curious locals?

A real arty pop show would be good - a Bjork/Pet Shop Boys kind of thing. I doubt it would be a long term thing though.

I'd love a proper 80's show - maybe Belinda Carlisle and Pat Benatar? Or an 80's version of Raiding The Rock Vault - rotating acts like Culture Club, Go West, Wang Chung, Bananarama etc.

I've enjoyed seeing a few musicals in Vegas - Phantom, Lion King, Jersey Boys, Waitress etc. Maybe a condensed version of 'Wicked' could be a hit. It's a fun show but could certainly do with a few cuts. It's a big enough name to run for a while. Apart from that maybe a sit down run of 'The Book Of Mormon'? I don't think any other shows would really fit. 'Hamilton, 'Les Mis', 'Miss Saigon' etc are all a little too... serious. 'Hairspray' would be fun to see again.

I thought "showstoppers" would stick around for a while - buy Wynn closed it (and that was his own show idea)

I always wanted to see The Tragically Hip in Vegas. On four out of my five trips I just missed them. Twice they performed the day before or after we left, and the other times they were there about a month after me. Sadly, they'll never play again.

I was thinking the same thing but more like Journey, Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago, Cheap Trick, etc. A lot of 70s/80's bands are touring regularly already and it's looks like those shows draw well.

EWF and Chicago spent two or three summers touring togetrher. That would have been a great ticket!
