Biggest room, least $$$

We recently stayed in a 2 bed suite at Jockey club and loved it. You can use the Cosmo pool, and the suites were very spacious and staff very friendly. There is a side entrance that takes you right into the Cosmo casino, in about 3-4 minutes. Great to have the kitchen for coffee and fridge for drinks.

 

I like this question, it is a good question and to the point. it will prove to be very informative for future reference.

 

The best way to determine this is to find the lowest cost per square foot room in Vegas. On the strip, Rio and Bally's take the cake. That said, from a VALUE standpoint, which includes ambiance and amenities, I think the higher tier properties are better. You can get a room a VP for 149 a night and be guaranteed 650sq ft in an amazing property. Rather that than a big room at a dumpy place lol

 

is that the rate that's available to everyone?

 

I just checked it for my travel dates in June and it quoted $345 per night for Hospitality Suite

 

I signed up for an Mlife account and booked when they offered 15% off. But otherwise yes just a regular guy. Booked for the end of July.

 

I would say book something that you can live with and keep checking rates. If the price goes down rebook and cancel the more expensive one.

 

I'm surprised nobody has said Elara which used to be PH Towers. It's a semi-failed timeshare behind PH. The rate will vary greatly depending on the date but if you are flexible you can get an amazing room. For example I just looked during the week in mid May and you can get the 1 bedroom suite for $199 but if you belong to Hilton Honors and want to pay in advance it's $165 a night.

Now for the best part let me describe the room. They have a full kitchen (including washer and dryer), dining area (with seating for 6), a giant living room with a massive sectional couch. The window shade doubles as a 10 foot screen for the HD projector in the ceiling in case you want something bigger than the 46" LCD. The bathroom is massive and frequently has a spa tub and the bedroom is separate and is massive with another 46" LCD.

The only drawback is you have to walk through the mall to get to it. Oh and if you want a 2 bedroom suit they just open the adjoining door to the studio suite next door which is pretty big in it's own right.

 

You have me very tempted to change our hotel for May. Looks gorgeous. Bit more expensive but not that much more. Just have resort credit at other hotel, as well.

 

For those posting the rates, can you please elaborate if you are booking from Sun-Thu or Fri-Sun?

 

Wow... they have some HUGE multi bedroom suites for so much less than other properties! Sounds like it might be a little more quiet than some properties but if that isn't an issue it would be a great buy.

I would go Mirage Suite or Signature at MGM can get some good deals on big rooms, with balconies.

 

Just got a Mirage 2 Bedroom Tower suite (1,628 sqft) for $217.00 per night (includes tax and resort fees) for a Fri-Sun. I had to be rude to a few people on the phone at Mirage but got what I wanted.

 

i think the strip cheapest room with biggest squarefeet would be treasure island standart tower suite.. it arounn 450 buck for three days and bout 950sqft

 

I got comped the 2500sqft 2-bedrom luxury suite at Southpoint.

I know that's not your question, it just makes me happy to mention it

 

Rio's ROTH rooms, they call them suites but they are really just hotel rooms, are huge but reasonable in price.

 

Keep in mind folks, we're talking Las Vegas here. Rates vary wildly and not just by weekday/weekend stays. Time of year is also critically important, though granted, probably less so for places like Jockey Club and Elara

 

Prices also fluctuate for events such as conventions... For instance my planned Vegas trip this month would have been much cheaper if it was mid April because no convention I guess.. The weekend Im going has the pin up convention. For the same price I am paying for the Vdara at the end of the month, could have got me a Resort King Room at Bellagio with $200 resort credits mid April... If I would have booked Bellagio for this upcoming trip at the end of April it would be over $600 than what I am paying for Vdara.

 

I consider that part of the "time of year" equation. My trip overlaps the NAB convention. One week earlier and rates are 33-45% of that during the overlap
