Wife and I were going to redeem a rewards each for a free room at the Mirage so we can stay back to back nights. I assume this is okay and we should be able to keep the room?

I have never redeemed a room before. I redeem it, get the link and then can check via mlife if rooms are available on the day I want? Is that how it works?

We have done this a couple of times. Redeem each one individually and when you check in, have them combine the reservations and put both of your names on the rooms. The only inconvenience we ran into was having to go down and switch room keys for the second day.

Okay thanks. I purchased the reward and went to the Mirage website and it says Comp for the day I want so I assume it's available. We are putting the trip together and don't want to commit just yet.

This may be, but the clerk informed us prior to leaving the front desk that we had to do this.

I've had the same experience at Mirage a couple of times when booking a MyVegas room along with any other offer there. I think it's something to do with their older (assumption) systems as Aria didn't have this trouble when I've stayed there with a MyVegas room combined with other offers.

Day or days? Make sure to check both are available, meaning the one your wife will book as well. My wife and I have done this many times. It should be no problem. Sometimes I've called the hotel and had them link the two reservations before arrival, and other times I haven't. Just check in together and ask them to set it up so you don't need new keys for the second day.

Did this last week, no need for a key change.

This is good news, it must be evolving.
