Ok, So what location is do you prefer to stay at?

The Strip? South Strip? Mid-Strip? North Strip?

Downtown? Locals Casinos? Boulder Hwy.? Maybe just off the Strip?

Myself, being a Vegas Veteran, I prefer Downtown. Cheaper and better gambling odds. Also less walking.

Other than that I would say a locals casino. Maybe Sam's Town, or Orleans.

The Strip would be a last choice for me, but maybe if I found a fantastic deal.

    How about YOU?

I'm maybe not the Vegas vet that you are, but I still enjoy the spectacle of the strip. The Trop and Luxor were my first homes so there's still an "attachment" to those properties. However, my tastes and preferences have shifted a little more upscale to MGM, Cosmopolitan, etc. We stayed downtown for the first time last year and really enjoyed it. We tend to incorporate DT into our visits. The gambling is better and we like the old Vegas vibe.
Truthfully though, wherever we get a great deal and feel appreciated, we'll go.

Well I'm at the ends. Tomorrow I'm at Delano/Mandalay Bay for 4 nights, but moonlighting for a night at Nugget downtown.(should have added, both comped, so don't know how that fits into "the best deal". I have a lot of Uber in the next few days.

Downtown only. Easy walking, and always something going on. I have to force myself to spend a few hours on the strip.

Like to be in the center of action, midstrip. I am a CET player and stay mostly at Mirage during my trips. Harrah's is right across.

I prefer downtown, after 26 years the strip has lost it's appeal to me. I like how everything is so close downtown and it's fun to go exploring. If I must stay on the strip I have always preferred mid strip.

I'm all about being just off-strips with easy access to the strip when I want an excursion. Any resort with transportation to the strip would work, but my preference is The Orleans.

I prefer the nicest casino that will offer me a free room. Location is secondary, since we always get a car.

I like mid strip or North strip. The closest I've ever stayed downtown was Stratosphere . I stayed at Mandalay Bay for the first time last year. I didn't think I'd like it, but it's pretty plush. I still prefer mid strip like PH, Ballys, or Caesars.

We always prefer stirp for sure.... I like mid strip location wise I think Mirage is perfect; if you walk out thru their burger Resturant corrior door you are right on strip... like bellagio you gotta walk like half mile to get strip from hotel entrance lol
But on a serious note, anywhere on strip is fine for us. However, one day we will give downtown a try never stayed or really played anything but will give a shot one day...

Center strip for me. Usually Paris, but I've stayed at PH Ballys Rio & Caesars. I've also stayed downtown at the Golden Nugget a couple of times. Also once at Red Rock & GVR. My next trip will be at the Cosmo for the first time. I'm hoping to get some great future offers.

Mirage is centrally located with several properties within easy walking distance, along with the Forum Shoppes and Fashion Show Mall. Throw in the Venetian Shops as well. Fairly easy access to monorail. More close by restaurants than you can shake a stick at. The pool can be a mad house during peak season, but if you can hold out until mid to later afternoon, it lightens up considerably.

On Fremont, I've been doing the Golden Nugget Rush Tower for several years although I may switch to the Carson Tower just to save money. Same situation with the pool. Total mad house from 10 to 4. After that, not bad.

Stay preferences are North and Central strip. Play preferences cast a wider net to downtown and locals occasionally.

The couple of times I stayed at the Nugget it was the Carson tower. Are the rush tower rooms nicer, and do they justify the extra cost? Last time I stayed at the Nugget the rush tower was still under construction.

Never off-Strip. Why bother? That said, North Strip is where we stay. Maybe Cosmo if we get a deal, but mostly V/P and Wynncore.

My first trip ever I made the rookie mistake of booking on expedia and clicking "Las Vegas and Vicinity" instead of "Las Vegas Strip"... Anyway my first visit was probably about 6 or 7 years ago... I booked a room at Whiskey Petes about 40 miles from Vegas  34 dollars a night... Obviously had no idea what I was doing, that was a horrible time driving 40 miles to the strip.. Rooms were filthy and outdated. We had 2 conjoining rooms and my cousin had in incident in his shower that caused us to get our weekend comped..

2nd time stayed at D in Downtown for what it is, the property is nice. Laid back slower pace than the strip casinos. I didn't really care for the room it felt college dormy. Lot's of cool things in DT but really turned off by the presence of "gangsters and less fortunate people". And on this trip we constantly found ourselves driving or cabbing back to the strip for gambling and other activities.

I'm fairly young at 26 so I prefer to be on the strip.. 3rd visit I decide to splurge a little for my girlfriends bday and booked a stay at Vdara in a Panoramic Suite. Not going to lie after booking this room I've become quiet spoiled when it comes to rooms. But I never forget where I came from so I have no problem staying in basic rooms. My next few trips I've spent some time at MGM, Luxor, Cosmo, PH, Venetian, and most recently Caesars Palace.

Sorry for the long reply.. But just a little brief history of my experience.. To answer the OPS question. I prefer mid strip Vdara-Caesars and any property in between. They are easy walking distance to either side of the strip.

I was a slave to center strip but now I prefer offstrip. I am used to picking something near the strip but I am willing to try other parts of town.

Center strip is my favorite base of operations. So many options to get around from there, especially since I prefer walking.

I'm looking at a night or two DT for the next trip just to mix things up, though!
Seeing lots of TRs and vlogs showing some good times on Fremont...

I think you Plaza, Cal, and D fans out there are starting to have an effect on me! :D
