There is a fee for valet parking at CET unless you are Platinum or above.

Looks like the self parking fee has either started or is about to. Caesars.com\parking now has self parking rates up.

Was hoping to sneak this trip in before those started. Bummer

Show your support for venues with free parking and don't do any gaming with MGM or CET.

I'm in town now, and once you start trying other places, it's kind of shocking how literally every other casino has more generous comps and higher point earnings, because they actually want your business.

I don't know if it is related, but I was shocked last night at how busy the Stratosphere was. The car park was almost full to the top and there were loads of people in the casino.

It's nice to see one one of the older/far north properties doing well when they have to compete with the usually more popular central/south strip properties, but I guess keeping your attractions, rather than de-theming everthing like MGM is doing probably helps with drawing people in.

Additionally, while Fremont Street has only limited free parking, most parking is validateable or just cheap. It's really thriving up there right now compared to a few years ago, so it looks like there are plenty of options for people who like to travel around vegas alot

I can confirm that as of right now the RIO is not charging for parking, either self or valet.

And they don't plan to either. Charging for parking at Rio would be the death of it.

Many downtown hotels charge $3 for parking (Cal, MSS, etc.) but it can be refunded if you put in play or eat at their restaurants. I don't think you can do that on the strip but I cannot confirm.

Yeah, once all the strip hotels start charging for parking I may either stay away from the strip or just park at the GC, Rio or Orleans and take the shuttle to the strip. I refuse to pay for parking.
