In regards to room comps, we typically look for an average bet of at least $400 per hand with approximately 4-6 hours of play a day on craps and/or baccarat. Because the odds are high on both of those games, they give you a low rating. That’s not just here at Hard Rock, that’s at every casino. Roulette actually gives you the best ratings in tables, and of course, the reel slots do as well.

$400 a hand for 4-6 hours?!?!?! At Hard Rock?!?!?! The host is either just kidding or he is nuts. For that kind of play, you can get COMP rooms at some of the nicer and upper level strip properties like Wynn, Aria, Bellagio, etc. Maybe not full RFB, but def COMP rooms with a little FB credit with it. Did you ask for maybe a specific room/suite?

 

I used to play there. I suspect things have either changed, they're fishing to see how much I'm willing to play, or they don't want me back.

I was stunned by them reaching out to me, and then their response. Mostly by their response.

Everyone here will tell you that is out of line with any off-strip property. My comp offers for HRH are better than that and I don't bet anywhere close to $400/hand.

Exactly who reached out to you? Someone directly with the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, or a 3rd party "host"?

 

Same with me... and Warner Hospitality/Gaming still operates the Hard Rock Las Vegas. I should add though that I'm not there more than a couple times a year now and PaperPoster's "intel" is ALWAYS solid!

 

Hard Rock is a pretty easy comp, at least for a slot/vp player so am surprised at that response. Still, keep in mind that most places ask for a large amount of play for guaranteed front end comps. Generally, once you have established a level of play, you should be able to book comp nights easily enough off the website.

 

My comps have been dwindling at Hard Rock as well, but then again the last few times I have booked offers for the free play and a few hit-and-run sessions.

 

4-6 hours of $400 per hand on Bac? That's outright BS.
You can get a suite with food credit at Aria or Bellagio for that actiion.

I am wondering if Hard Rock ever seen a $400 player.

 

The last time I was at Hard Rock I was in the high limit bacc room with a group of 4 Japanese kids and someone who could have been one of their dads. They were on a 30K marker, playing on one bankroll, betting 3-4K/hand each, and paid off the marker by the time they left. Man that was a fun game.

It's rare but it does happen.

how much average bet per hand would one need to bet in order to start seeing comps from these 2 properties? And how long would one need to play?

 

Update. I received a mailer today, 3 free nights 7/1 - 9/30, $100 daily promotional chips and $100 resort credit.

I suspect they we reviewing marker lines and saw I was active at other casinos.

It looks like they changed the name of 35 Steak and Martinis to MB Steak. Menu looked the same to me. A Dunkin Donuts and pizza place now as well.

Interesting to say the least. I haven't stayed in a long time. And the last several times I stayed I was ticked off, so no played them.

 

I was in Hard Rock last May for a Journey concert (awesome). I gambled for a few hours before and after the concert and got a comped dinner. I definitely enjoyed it and I'd stay there if comped.

By the way, the Seminoles do not operate/own the Vegas Hard Rock. If/when they ever take it over, I'd be very reluctant to gamble there anymore as it will become tighter than a virgin during Navy week.

 

Actually, they closed 35 Steaks and opened up MB in the HRH Tower. It opened in May, a couple weeks after my last visit, so I haven't been in there, but the reviews so far look positive. I was a big fan of 35 Steaks, so it BETTER be good! The almost 8,000 sq. ft. steakhouse has it's own valet entrance on Harmon and I'm told a lotta dough was dropped making this place somethin' to behold.

I'm a craps player at Aria. I normally play $100 - $150 per roll for 4 hours a day. I get 3 nights comped, no resort fees and between $100 & $200 in RC.

 

Wait until the Seminole Tribe takes it over. If you think the comp system is screwy and cheap now, you ain't seen nothing yet..Their casinos personify the "fuck the players" attitude.

 

Where has the backstage pass comp calendar gone,haven't seen it in a while.

 

Hmmmm... you're right. I don't go down as frequently as I used to, so I haven't paid much attention. I'll be there next week, but I reserved from one of the mailers I get every 2 months that has my offers and comp calendar on it.
