If you think you have something coming, I would call. BConnected site is not perfect and misses some things. Got my flyer in the mail last week for May-June (3 weeks after offers posted on BConnected). And there was a $100 food comp on it and not on BConnected.

My snail-mail offer came this weekend and it matched my online offer from almost three weeks ago - 1 stinkin' night, no food credit.

Even though I knew what was in the snail-mail offer before I opened, I still stared at that lonely number "1" in bolded print - and with an exclamation point added to the end. That ain't nothing to get excited about, Orleans!

    I'm saddened.

Looks like it time for us to move on. Our Sapphire money in means nothing now. They want primarily local play. I hope their rooms rot from no use!

That's what I don't understand. They are pimping Aliante and the Canneries hard to VIPs outside of Vegas as if they know they can't generate enough traffic for them without out of towners. I am sure Vegas locals like to do staycations at their local casinos like we do here but is there that much competition for rooms between locals and out of towners that they would cut back like this? If I were just added three hotels to my network, I would be loosening the reins right now.

here is one example of the lame inconsistencies of the BConnected website:

    $10 in FREE Dining!
    Valid April 1 - April 30, 2017.
During your stay on the room offer in this mailer, enjoy $15 in free dining at any of the following restaurants: Paradise Buffet and Cafe, Tony Roma's, Second Street Grill or Lanai Express.
    Valid at the following location:
    • Fremont Hotel & Casino
....... so which is it $10 or $15? and BTW, I never got the mailer.

I cant imagine that any of the downtown casinos have TOO MUCH business. but yet they are trying to drive us away with a cattle prod.

Years ago, Jean Scott (The Queen of Comps) wrote that we should never fall in love with a particular casino company and put all our eggs in one basket. If most of your play has been at Boyd, or any other single company, and they pull the offers rug from under you, or drastically change their comp system, you have nothing to fall back on. I've stayed at Boyd casinos for part of almost all my trips, but with the cutbacks, I am very prepared to skip them in the future and stay at other properties. I have one last good offer coming up from them in April which I will take. My May offers are insulting.

What you have to do is have some play, even if it is less $, at other casino properties so you have some offers to fall back on. Over time, in the past, places like the Venetian and GVR were mainstays of mine, but, as they cut back on good plays and good comps, I had to move on to other casinos that I was playing at, and were sending me offers. This process is ongoing over the years, and will continue in the future. Be prepared!

One factor in the Boyd changes, which was posted on another forum, if true, may be this:

"Boyd properties had an 18 month marketing evaluation period. Recently they changed to a 6 month evaluation period which I found out from one of their marketing directors. Therefore your offers will dry up if you have not stayed at a particular Boyd casino within 6 months"

I have serous doubts as to whether this is the simple reason to explain all the cutbacks, as one particular Boyd casino cut back on our offers less than 4 months after a stay with our typical amount of play. But maybe this explanation holds some weight for some.

I'm arriving on April 30th and when I tired to book the 2 night comp for the Orleans it gave me an error saying that the comp must be used by the current date (say March 21st) and May 1st. So the website would not let me book a comp for the 30th and 1st, although the calendar showed it as a comp for me. I called first and the person couldn't get it to work either ,so I email through the Bconnected website and received a response from a reservations supervisor who said they would honor the 2 night comp, but I had to call into the number she provided. So I called again they tired again but it won't work, so I told the CS person about the email and she asked the name on the email, I gave it to her and she said "oh, that's a supervisor" and proceeded to book the comp manually. So good job to the reservations supervisor for knowing their system, but come on Boyd get your crap together!

I just like the friendliness of face to face from host down to maids. They also have good vp for the most part and ez food comps via face to face request.
All good things must come to an end but sullenness exhibited by other resort employees and lack of attention keep me at Boyd properties. While I agree at the moment they seem to be doing a nose job on their face I still like what I get from them face to face. Email is not so good. Phone works though.
I hope it works out for the majority of loyal players out there. Too old to start over. Haha.

A change to the average calc would explain a lot. However, with that cycle, a two month offer cycle doesn't line up with a 6 month eval period. They should do offers more frequently then.

I do love MSS but if their offers go to **** I'll just go with one of the Station Casinos. Right now their offers are good. To the poster above you've got to be a man/woman without an island and be willing to move on.

    Here is an oddity.

Went to the Orleans for the first time in December. The Mrs. joined BConnected and used a ACG coupon. I didn't join as I wanted to do the first time coupon at the Fremont. She played Roulette and minimal sliots.

They sent us a mailer. Two Free Nights and $10 Food to use before April 27th. I created her an account and there were some other small offers of freeplay etc that also expired at the same time.

Logged in this morning and they are all gone and not replaced with any expiring offers.

They were offering rooms for Ruby at $46 which are now $39.

    Odd.

Boyd does random system maintenance and sometimes offers will disappear for a few hours. They normally reappear a few hours later. I never seen an offer be removed in its entirety unless it is expired. I would check the website again at a later time.

I received a reply from Boyd today...so they are evaluating your play every 6 months...based on where you have played the most in Las Vegas, will be your comp offer. The Las Vegas and Gulf Coast regions are separate from each other . Basically, the days of double booking at different properties or back to back stays at different properties now appears to be out the window. I guess I will be no longer concerned with maintaining my status with Boyd and concentrate on Station Casinos instead....:(

Something kinda similar for me. I decided to do some play at Boyd to see what I could trigger for offers last fall, about 4k/day, one day each at MSS and Orleans. Soon afterwards I started getting offers for 2 nights and $15 food at Orleans, last one was good until end of April. I decided to focus play at Orleans and did a couple of 5k+ days there in Feb and March (of course, that was the date they quit mutiplier points for out of towners for YAH!). Now, my room offer is 1 night, no food for May/June.......but I have since got offers for 3 nights and slot or VP tourneys in April and May.
My wife has expressed an interest in staying there to check it out, probably during the last couple of weeks in June. Do you think I will continue to get offers for room/tourney packages in June?

I have not heard that stations are generous with comps. On the contrary, they cater to locals. And points expire after 6 months. Not thrilled with Boyds (although our next comps are good) but at least you can keep status for a year. Not that sapphire is anything much

would agree that the station group caters to locals and not known to be generous with comps------what casino [downtown or off-strip] would be a decent alternative-----southpoint? el cortez? the 2 Arizona charlies?-----
