Always open to trying new places, I wonder if there is any reason to try Hooters on my next trip? I play Craps and Blackjack mainly (and some VP) and like the Golden Gate and Casino Royale atmospheres ... lively Craps tables, and fun Blackjack (need to play BJ Switch at CR since regular BJ is bad). Any thoughts on Hooters? Thanks, Bob
I stopped in on my first trip, just to look around. It was mid-afternoon and not busy at all. Nothing notable to share, just a few good mammaries! RICHARD
I live in an area teeming with lumberjacks and Hillbilly Jim look-alikes. I'll take what I can get! RICHARD
They have been de-Hooter-izing the casino for the last two years in preparation for sale. However, I think they have the largest Hooter's in Vegas.(hehe). The rooms are value rooms and the best thing about the property is cheap rooms near the Strip. Breakfast has always been a problem there, and I think they gave up on steak houses. Casino is quiet, probably cheaper and fairer than anything nearby.
Now you're just asking for it. The number of times in my life that I have pondered the largest Hooter's and the answer was The Palms...
I haven't been in the casino in 10 years. However, they have almost finished re-doing most of the rooms. Here's a Vegas Bright review. https://www.vegasbright.com/2017/01/09/hooters-renovated-rooms/ And if the rooms weren't cheap enough, they even have a groupon. https://www.groupon.com/deals/ga-bk-hooters-casino-hotel-14
Does anybody really go here for the food options (other than the Hooters wings?).....although the cafe prime rib isn't bad. I actually used this Groupon prior to the recent renovations. Room cost $40-45 after the "resort" fee. One of the few hotels to have actual balconies, and by far the cheapest. It'll never be your first choice but not a bad option in a pinch.
Any glitches using it? Considering it if I make a third trip this year. Has anyone gotten room comps?
I stayed there when it was San Remo and many times after it became Hooter's and never noticed a balcony. Are they the poolside rooms or some type of suite?
FullPay On google maps, the shorter building that faces Tropicana Ave has standing balconies. Can't tell if the tall building has them or if it's just grill work to make the buildings match.
Last time I was there they were one off on double bonus and 8/5 jacks. But it's been two years and they closed the front VP bar. Unless things have drastically changed they have to be better than TR/MLife. Check VPFree.
Remember, this started out as a Howard Johnson's. Then it became the San Remo. Then it became Hooters. When it was the San Remo it had a great Sushi restaurant. I have never stayed there, but I have played poker there. There used to be time share hawkers inside the building trying to sell you. I have not been there in awhile.
