Now that Mermaids and La Bayou is closed, does anyone downtown have the strong yards of alcohol? I'm not talking about the wimpy ones that have a shot or two. I'm talking about the ones that had 151 or grain alcohol in them like Mermaids.

I'm taking my newly 21 year old daughter and that was the easiest way to get her drunk. Now I have to find another way

I have sat through the Four Queens sales pitch so many times; they have half yards, yards, guitars, Eiffel towers. They charge high and pour strong. Sitting at the bar I see few repeat customers.

Do any of the bars have the frozen mudslides like they used to have at LaBayou?

Who has the best slushy type drinks? You know where they have a row of the machines with different colors and flavors like coconut, mango, rum runner...I go to a place in Tybee Island on the beach and one drink gets me feeling really good as they are super strong. Lol

Don't most of these places have a 151 rum option? I know Fat Tuesday does and so do a host of the other ones.

The D has a bar, Fat Tuesday is good, Evening Call is affordable with cheap refills, I think every resort has at least one slushy style alcohol place.

Yes places have slushy alcohol places, but usually the alcohol is very weak. The ones at mermaid and LaBayou were strong and tasty at the same time.

I agree I've had the slush drinks from The D very weak. The only chance of catching a buzz of one is don't eat all day.

As is always the case in Vegas, you can have them do anything for enough money.

That defeats the purpose. The ones from Mermaids were like 20 bucks...I'm trying to find a similar deal!!!
