MM in Vegas - Live

Alright, I'm kind of winging this as I didn't think I was going to have the time to post a TR. Work has been crazy but I am officially caught up and in pre-trip mode. Apologies in advance if I go dark or don't respond timely to comments, like a lot of you I tend to go pretty hard in Vegas and things might go sideways. Thanks to everyone who does post and keep up with trip reports, it really helps bridge the gap between Vegas trips.

Leaving out of Cincinnati tonight and returning Saturday on the red eye. I am the person who always advises people to never take a red eye back from Vegas. Do as I say not as I do. For instructional purposes I'll throw in a picture of myself in a severely depleted state right before departure.

Staying at the Luxor in a renovated pyramid room. I like the Luxor for VP pay tables and low roller comps.

Main purpose of the trip is to watch basketball and gamble, what else? I'm going with a friend of mine, lets call him T. We always take the first 2 days of the tournament off to watch hoops and the natural extension is to do this activity in Vegas. I have converted T to fellow Vegas degenerate in the last few years. The plan is for MM to be a yearly trip.

This will be my 9th trip to Vegas, 10th planned for June. Most of my gambling is VP, craps, BJ, and Pai Gow Poker. Let it Ride is my "slot machine" of choice.

Plans for this trip are scarce. Watch basketball, no viewing parties as I like to move around. Test out the MGM mobile betting app, no lines for me. Hit my first royal, it's time. Gratuitous drinking, craft beer, bourbon, verbenas, all of the above. No food porn likely, not really the focus on a guys trip.

This chip holder was given to me 2 years ago and 4 Vegas trips. So far I have one chip from Vegas, one from Atlantis, and one that my 6 year old son traded an R2D2 keychain for at school because he knew I would like a poker chip. My kids are the best.

Hoping to add a few chips, shouldn't be hard since I have none, haha

 

I love bankroll shots, hoping there will be no ATM walk of shame.

Thanks! I am on Frontier. I've never flown them to Vegas but I did take them to Denver earlier this year. Only complaint was the seat comfort. No padding and limited/no recline. It was a newer plane as well, strange way for an airline to save money. Other than that everything was fine.

 

Have flown Frontier once out of Cincinnati and three times out of Columbus. 3 of 4 trips went well, last one not so much. Can't beat the price but they do have crappy flight times and very uncomfortable seats

The Cincinnati airport is a depressing place, hasn't dampened my mood at all. And yes, Frontier seats are awful. Only 4 more hours...

Flight was too long but it's all worth it.

Glad to hear that. I like the place but Pyramid rooms were tired. So glad to hear the reno is a good one.
