Did I miss a change in California gaming laws or is bubble craps now legal at California Indian casinos? I thought that early in the last century, California strictly prohibited gaming with dice. Apparently there is a California tribal casino offering bubble craps. Did a change in gaming laws slip past me?

did no one respond to this? i was trying to find out how it works in nev. found that it is licensed as a slot machine, so was wondering if that is how indian casinos get to use it. I know that indian casinos are programed payouts not random generated numbers so if i follow that logic they must be able to control the payout. You would think someone would have this information and share it.

California constitution states that games of chance can't be decided by dice or balls...I'd like to know what casino got it..do you know if it's the Interblock or Aruze one?

It was fun. It's like a roulette wheel, and when you think the dice are settled, one will bump the wall and flip over! THE PISSING AND MOANING ARE LEGENDARY!

    palm springs you say?
    i am tempted to try

i will NEVER play card craps ever again ... that was the saddest 3 minutes of my life
it's not fun ..and the cards are all set ... meaning each "roll" is already pre determined
sure, the cards may be totally random .. but you miss out on the possibility of a certain number just hitting infinitely since you are not working with an infinite deck

This happens because there seems to be no central regulation in california casinos. none I can figure anyway. Seems to me its just a matter of if they wanted to pony up the side payment to the office in charge. If they did, they can have the dice game.

I dont play in them even though there are a bunch around here. i dont trust them like i do the casinos in nevada. I would never doubt the honestly of a casino in vegas but do doubt the ones here.

Weird is I can't find the Shoot to Win on Chuckchansi webpage...but through Google I can get it...
I dunno if I wanna risk driving 2 hours to go find out...remember that the tribe DID brand assault rifles and run out all the customers and closed the place down for at least a couple years.

but yeah... the tribal casinos ... they are different beasts from nevada state casinos
each one is a sovereign nation ... and legal recourse for things like personal injury and anything else that might happen at the casino is limited

http://chukchansigold.com/shoot-win-craps/........California's Indian casinos are legally allowed to offer electronic gaming machines, blackjack, and other house-banked card games. The games of craps and roulette are not permitted. However, some casinos do offer modified versions of craps and roulette that are played with cards rather than dice or roulette wheels. According to WOV: There is indeed an old California law that could be interpreted to say that the dice and roulette wheel can't alone determine the outcome of a bet. I'm sure a puritan anti-gambling forces were behind it. It would take a change in the state constitution to repeal that, which there isn't the political will to do. So they have to add another step involving cards to resolve bets in those two games.

Many places in cali have bubble craps. The trick is it's a slot machine not a table game. So look out for those w2g's.

I can confirm that Pechanga in southern CA has one bubble craps machine. It's the standard Aruze machine you see all over Vegas.

Also a variation on bubble craps is what i call spin craps. They have one at Fantasy, spins very fast and it makes the dice bounce and tumble around then slows to a stop.

Many i would say like 1in6 has it. Im closer to the desert and spotlight has one.

California Indian casinos are allowed to have Class III slot machines (which behave exactly like Vegas slot machines) if they have a compact with the state. My guess is they consider it like a slot machine because when you "push the button" you'll stop a random number generator which will apply a randomly determined force to the dice.
