As the title says; have you ever seen cabana's as the redeemable reward? She thinks it's a waste of money, but if I can score one for free, we can use it for the day.

I got the wife playing yesterday and she's already up to 5k LP - We have no intention of purchasing chips, so whatever we end up with in 2 months before we arrive; we'll use what we have. I'm closer to 22k chips, so at the least, we'll score a buffet or 2.

Am I right to assume rewards also change on a somewhat regular basis? The Beegee's tribute band is on there right now (25k LP) - I kinda want to see that.

Sunset Station had a "Pool Cabana for a day" reward that my wife and I used last year. I don't believe there has ever been a cabana reward for an MLife property though. Yes, rewards do change frequently.

I think there was a free cabana reward in the beginning, I can't remember what casino it was at (Mirage or Mandalay Bay maybe?). There were also rewards for discounted cabanas at Vdara one year.

Yes I remember it was for Mandalay bay. It was 500k lp though. They did bottle service too for 500k lp as well at a couple of the old lounges at aria. You got a voucher for $500 spend when you redeemed the reward

I purchased that bottle service reward, but went with some people who weren't big drinkers, so I returned it, kind of bummed. Gold Lounge was a pretty decent bar to grab a few drinks before heading elsewhere.

There was a cabana reward at Green Valley Ranch I got summer of 2015. It was fun but a little much for a solo traveler like myself haha

You missed the best times with the game. It was back between 12-14. Now most rewards are hardly ever available, and it's hard to earn LP's. Uesd to be much easier, but now the slots are tighter then the real ones. It's even hard to get a free buffet unless you're staying at an Mlife property. Highly doubt you'll see a cabana reward again. And if so it'll be about 1 million LP's. I did get one for Sunset Station last year. It was nice, didn't include food or drinks, but it was just 2 of us, so we spend around $80 total, not to shabby. Good luck.

Yes there was cabana rewards in the past.

They will probably bring a cabana reward back but it will be a VIP experience type thing for a like a million points....
kind of like they did with the VIP bowling reward at Red Rock Resort.

You'd think cabanas would be like rooms - if the hotel is slow, lower the rates / give them away - just don't include food or beverage.

If memory serves me, every time we've stayed at MB, most of the cabanas were empty - 3 or 4 occupied, max. I'd spend $100 on food and drink for the 2 of us if the cabana was free and wasn't being used otherwise; just to get the wife out of the sun so she can enjoy it. Umbrellas only cover so much...

I have over 1 million LP's with not much to purchase. In the past you could get totally free stuff. Now it's mostly bogo's.

Ah, the good old days where there was bottle service, cabana rewards and suites. Best thing was the rewards refreshed at a certain time now with this random refresh it is nearly impossible to get anything good. I love the cabanas at Mirage (Cabana #11) it is set away from the pool and feels like a private area. Yes, it is alot of money but I figure it is less than what we would spend at the casino for the whole day. The best year we had for MyVegas was actually 2015 before they changed the room rewards. I'll never forget my husband getting 2 nights and I got 3 nights through MyVegas for Mirage. Easy to go for the cabana when your room is free.

Yes the MyVegas gravy train was sweet. But all good things come to an end. I can remember people bragging about getting 5 or more free nights, meals and shows all for free. Never got a free room as CET used to be generous with their rooms. I did get free tickets for multiple Circe shows. Plus plenty of free buffets. Now it's only bogo's and even some of those you need to have a room at a Mlife casino.

It bugs me to see all those empty cabanas...if they would sell them for fifty bucks for half a day minus the food and booze I would happily pay that.

But that may set a precedent. I do think they should charge much less on weekdays. On the weekends if they were more affordable you would never be able to get one. I did get one at Ballys on a Monday for $120 plus food and drinks.
