Just found out tonight that the S&O Cafe at the Downtown Grand closed last year. Their $10.00 Prime Rib was the best deal in Vegas for me. The food was the best meal I've had out there. I've went every trip out there and was looking forward to it this trip too.

They got a new restaurant to replace it called Freedom Beat. I like the looks of it so we're going to give it a try. I will ask them if they happen to have the $10.00 Prime Rib. I at least have to try.

The grilled sandwich doesn't look too bad! I'd eat it.

The fries looks good but it was soggy and oily. Not one fry was crispy. It was disappointing. However the pastrami was good with the pickle and onions. And I like my mustard hot and this mustard did not disappoint. It cleared out my nostrils.

I tried to order the prime rib there a cpl of years ago, it looked really good on the pictures around the hotel showing the meat, vegi , baked potato and a blueberry muffin. The sign said ready after 4:00. I went in around 5:00 and the prime rib wasn't ready, the baked potatoes weren't ready, and they hadn't had the blueberry muffins in months lol.......

I have tried it, this was an old picture of the $9.99 S & O prime rib. Mashed potato under the prime rib.

Thanks for the pics of the food. I think we'll give the place a try.

I don't know, I like the prime rib at the Market St. Café better. For the same price it came with an all you can eat salad bar and the cherries jubilee for dessert. I can't wait, will be in vegas in 3 weeks so I can eat the prime rib. I also have to try the prime rib at the silver nugget.
