Hello everbody, I have a few questions regarding my first stay in Encore. 1) Me and a friend booked a resort suite ( 1 kingsize bed ) , is there a way to get a free upgrade to a 2 queen room ( or get moved over to a 2 queen at Wynn ) ? 2) Also i wanne try to get my resort fee's waved away , is there a speculation about how much to gamble before they wave away the resort fee's ( or even a few nights ) we will will probably spend 4000 usd on gambling at wynn/encore property on 1 card.

If you are a new guest, with no history on property, I cant see why they would give you a free anything there. Its a popular property. Maybe with a bribe at check in, but not just for free. 2) Also i wanne try to get my resort fee's waved away , is there a speculation about how much to gamble before they wave away the resort fee's ( or even a few nights ) They obviously wont do this at check in, but if you burn through $4K on your card depending on what you play and how much money you can cycle, I'm sure you can ask the desk to call the host office at checkout for you.
It is 5,600 points per day to get a comped resort room. $1.50 slots / $3.00 video poker for 1 pt. It is $200 avg. x 4 hrs per day in table games to get a room comped and $500 x 4hrs for RFB. I believe that you still have to pay resort fees on a comped room, but they can be taken off based on play. If you contact casino VIP services in advance and are going during a non-busy time, they will switch you to a queen room. If you are taking advantage of there typical offer for 3nts comped up front/$300 free play/ 2 buffets, keep in mind you will have to play enough to cover the up front comps first, before they give you anything else.
Im not looking for a comped room , problem is i booked a resort suite with 1 kingsize bed and already paid for it ( bought it in a package deal ) , i dont know if its considered to be a "Upgrade" to change it to 2 queens. I dont want the rooms to get comped because i already paid for them , i am only wondering how much money to spend on Wynn property before i go to checkout and ask them if they can wave away the resort fees. And im wondering what to do to get my room switched from a resort suite ( 1 kingsize bed ) to a 2 queen room , i dont even know if switching that is considered beeing a "upgrade"
If the 2 rooms are valued the same you can just tell them at check-in, when they say "1 King Smoking" you just say, "No it should be 2 queens non-smoking". That should do the trick. But again I have no idea if they value all rooms the same. Since you booked 1 King, they might have stuck you in the back facing a mountain. The 2 Queens, at check-in, might only be strip facing and considered an upgrade. Who knows. Just play dumb!
lol spoken wisely. Iv'e been able to switch between both on a comped room using that method. That being said sometimes they'll be like "we don;'t have any more rooms at the wynn you'll have to go over to the encore is that ok?" and vice versa. can't really complain because you're getting what you want.
I've got to be missing something with the math here.. Are you saying that it takes about $39,200 - $84,000 /day coin-in on VP to get a resort room at the Wynn comped? That can't be right.. When you say $7 - $15 per point and 5,600 points for a room.. Is that really possible?
Not sure if it applies all the time but I have seen Wynn charge more for two beds than one king. Most hotels do the same thing as they figure people are splitting the charges and they can get more. Also another bed for housekeeping to make etc.
Last I heard a comp was 7,000 points minimum per day -- this was back in Jan of this year. I spoke with the high limit host. Not worth the investment though, that's 10k coin in. You'd need to have an angel on your shoulder to make it worthwhile, especially when the rooms at the Wynn aren't exactly expensive with some of the pre-purchase discounts they offer
FWIW, I put a several thousand in coin-in and played $200 a hand baccarat and don't get anything -- not even an email.
7000 points sounds right. During a long trip I have had a couple of 5 to 6k point days but mixed in one day with 12k or 13k point days. One day it was much higher. That usually gets my encore resort suite room covered for my full stay (typically 8 or 9 nights) and a few hundred in back end comps plus my up front comps (FSP and F&B). It may seem a lot but I feel like I get more for my money there than at CET, with the exception of when I play in AC since I can visit AC at any time and can get rooms during the high summer/shore season + other benefits. Edited to add I think it may be 5,000 or 6,000 points for a regular room. And to answer OP's question, I would think with that play, depending on the churn, that you could get the resort fee waived. Even if you don't have a host just go to the host area before check out, or even the night before if you are finished playing, and ask.
I feel like CET is only good for micro-rollers (less than $500 bank roll per day) and ultra high rollers ($20k+ per day). For the rest of us, the offers aren't great and the rooms not good enough for what you can get for similar play at other properties. Ultra high rollers, on the other hand, have access to some of their more exclusive penthouse rooms and villas. I'll never gamble to that caliber, nor would I want to.
I would ask the front desk on arrival to change rooms. I dont see this as requesting an upgrade. Try and get served by a female. I would find a female to be more accommodating on this type of request than a guy. I would not suggest playing dumb or lying just be honest and ask for the change. As for the comps ensure to get your players card before you drop a single $. You dont say how long you are there for? Lets say once you have played half your bank roll or been gambling for a couple of days, visit the player desk and ask if they can rate you or ask how your play is. They will be more than happy to help. At this time, you can ask if it is worth being introduced to a host. If they say no, you have a little more work to do. You wont need a past play history to qualify for comps if you have earned it. I gambled for 10 years at MGM and then started from scratch at the Palazzo and earned my normal rate of comps during my first visit. Charge all your F&B to the room but dont take the piss. Eat at the buffets. I know full well hosts can write off buffet comps easily. Also the Wynn buffet is actually very good food. Dont go expecting or asking for comps, be polite and at the end of the stay , revisit the players desk and very politely say "That you will shortly be checking out and again ask how your play was and have you earned enough play for any of the room charges to be taken care off" If you are charging to the room you will need to ensure you put a credit card limit for the stay. Without this you wont get comped and they will only comp for the Wynn and Encore. The resort fees are funny and I dont know any person who likes paying for them. I gamble $20k and have only ever had the resorts fees removed once and this was from the Mirage. Dont ask at the front desk to have them removed from the outset. Just see how your play is and if you're comped your F&B and earn a free night then take the resort fees on the chin. It will help build your history up next time. Take care and have a good trip.
You don't always have to have history with them for them to offer you comps. In 2016 a host got in contact with us and offered us free rooms and FP plus F&B. Seen as you've paid for your room asking for a backend comp seems reasonable and with a $4k bank roll over 2 days giving average RTP you should qualify for something. Good luck.
You can always simply ask for an upgrade. When I checked in last time, the desk actually offered an upgrade to the Salon suite at a very good price (at least good to me). Then I simply played using my card and enjoyed myself. When it was time for checkout, I went to the host center, let them know I was checking out, and they waived the resort fees and my original room booking. I learned the hard way a long time ago that it's far cheaper to pay the fees than to plan a gambling strategy for credit. YMMV.
