Off to Vegas at end of March for first time in approx 5 years. Wife is attending a conference so I have alot of downtime. Got the list of happy hours but wondered, on the strip, whats approx cost of a beer, say well/draft in the Casino bars?

I know they wont be cheap but just wanted to know.

    Thanks in advance.

Casino Royale has some cheap swill - but I can't remember if they offer draft on that deal.

I expect inflated prices, but some of the casino prices can catch you off-guard. I try to get drafts while playing slots as a result.

Not cheap... around $8-10/beer for draft in most of the more upmarket place...
CR has Michelob & I think Bud bottles for a $1
If I remember right, O'Shea's in the Linq was $3-4 beer

+1 for Casino Royale for $1 Michelobs, plus new members get $20 loss rebate.

CVS, Walgreens, ABC Liquors for singles. Be prepared, don't forget your keychain bottle opener. Came in handy, some pretty young thing was struggling to open her beer and of course, I obliged. Chivalry is not dead!

I buy giant beers in the casino gift shops. cheaper and you get more. still pricey because its casino prices but cheaper then the bar and no tip. Combine these with some happy hours as well as some tee shirt shops and its all the beer you need for a decent price.

Is there a list somewhere with all the happy hours? If someone can point me in the direction of that list, I would appreciate it.

I would add to this - if you aren't by Casino Royale and just want to buy some beers, you can usually find beers for <$3 at all sorts of shops - ABC stores, Walgreens, certain gift shops, etc.

Keep in mind you could always buy a 6 or 12 pack and ice it down in the sink in your room if it's a pain to get to these places.

People could give the OP more specific advice if the OP said where they are staying.

For example, if you're at PH, there is an ABC store in the mall AND there is a Walgreen's.

MGM properties have "weekend pricing" for many drinks at casino bars. Usually starts Thrusday night and runs until Monday. Not sure about other drinks but bottled beer goes up about $1.25 to $8/60 during this "premium" time. Like they werent screwing us enough...

Good advice on the drug store / ABC store purchases.

Definitely recommend the ABC/CVS Route, especially if you plan to hop around.

If I was drinking to get drunk, then $1 Michelob at Casino Royale
If i'm drinking to enjoy the beer, then $2.25 microbrews at Ellis Island
If i'm drinking on the move, CVS or Walgreens for a can of Bud, maybe $3 to $3.50

One more special to add - Cromwell had signs up that they have $2 beers and $4 cocktails on weekdays from 9 am - 6 pm at the main bar.

This is also one of the easiest places on earth to pretend to play a slot and get free drinks.

With so many choices on the Strip now i.e. ABC, CVS, Walgreens, it is quite simple to get a single or case of beer or bottle of good liquor. I always stop by one of those stores daily to either pick up a couple 24oz beers, or redbull, or small bottle of liquor.

Ellis Island has excellent microbrews, but that's not on the Strip. Lately, I've been getting my beers either while I'm playing or from the ABC Store in the Miracle Mile Shops at PHo. The only time I get casino drinks at Strip casinos is when I'm lounging at the pool and that's only if I have reward credits to burn.
