Not many places in resorts anymore where you can sit and relax after a long day of running hard. Just a place that has less noise and people where you can recharge. There used to be places with a couple sofas or comfortable chairs. Usually there would be a tourist sleeping in one of them after a couple days of sleep deprivation. Seems that every square foot is used these days with slots or a food vendor. Or timeshare booth.

Admittedly I need more rest now. I sometimes go into closed lounge areas or pool areas when out of season just to get some quiet. Then back to the tables

That's my biggest complaint about Fremont Street. There is no place to go to get away from the noise. It's loud inside and out everywhere.

I like the energy of the loud music and crowds, but sometimes just want a short break.

That's why I still like the CET Diamond lounges. If it is between 4 and 6 pm they may not be "quiet" but I do use them for a respite when I feel like I need or should take a break. I will sometimes head to the pool area where I stay in the late afternoon in the shade to recharge. I'll go with just my regular clothes on/no swimsuit, and will just roll up my slacks. It's even better if I'm already wearing shorts. When it's not too hot in Vegas I've gotten nice cat naps that way. Sometimes I'd rather do that than go to my room and take a nap. I'd rather take a nap outdoors in a relaxing pool area and still have the Vegas vibe around me.

If a cat nap is needed, that's why we have a nice room. But I agree, as to the aesthetic of it all. I guess that's why we've long gravitated toward the JW Marriott, and the Lake Las Vegas resorts (oooh, I miss the Ritz).

I always seem to find myself on the second floor at Cosmo where there is a large hallway from the East to West side of the hotel. Occasionally there are a few people walking those hallways, but, for the most part, it's pretty quiet and there are some chairs and sofa spread out along the way and usually some folks just taking some time to chill out. Now, once you get closer to Wicked Spoon, there are more folks and noise, but that hallway always feels out of place with the weird quiet as you walk through it.

Only place I've found is a weirdly quiet spot on the way to one of the towers in Luxor, if you can find a seat - near Harvest in Bellagio in the hallway leading to the tram, outside the Starbucks in Aria (near the juice place), and Bond in Cosmo during the day.

Totally awesome place to chill. Don't tell anyone about it, especially not the THIRD floor.

My friend likes to stay at the locals casinos like Green Valley Ranch, M, and Red Rock. They have places where you can sit and read the paper, chill with your laptop, or just sit and relax a bit.

I like Downtown but like was mentioned earlier, there's no place to chill, which is why he tells me he'll never stay Downtown again, lol!

There are places downtown but this is one of those situations if shared might not allow it to be quiet and less crowded anymore.

The keno parlor at the D has cushioned booths with sight lines to the sportsbook tvs. I usually buy 15-20 .25 tickets and chill out. The CW run through there about three times a hour so free drink service to just show her your ticket.... not necessarily quiet but it's less noisy than rest of casino and for $5 can kill 2-2.5 hours in comfort. This is how a low roller like myself relaxes....The Cal keno area is also quiet but the chairs aren't nearly as comfortable as the D.

There also used to be a sitting area across from Cal gift shop with a few chairs and sofa but they were gone when I visited in feb

For Strip hotels I usually head towards the meeting rooms. Rarely are there any large meetings going on and there are lots of nice chairs or padded benches to hang out in and recoup. The bathrooms in these areas are also usually much less crowded and better maintained.

We did this on our last visit. Well, I played nearby nickle bonus poker, a few friends played keno, while we all waited for one degen to finish up at a table game. The Derby game was pretty loud, but I didn't notice it so much in this spot.

I found the Ruth's Chris on the upper floor in Harrahs to be a nice quiet place to unwind. You're above all the casino noise and can look out at the strip.

Jean Georges in Aria was super chill. I have wanted to try just going to the bar but I always get distracted. I can't envision any major noise making it's way there.

I suppose both of these examples require you to purchase an overpriced drink, but that's never a problem for me! :)

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

Though not quiet, I love the Cosmo terrace to sit and chill.

What a great idea - so relaxing and soothing - listening to the pool sounds and the warmth put me to sleep in a hurry.

LOL, you beat me to it - my first thought was Cosmo - those sections of the 2nd and 3rd floor are great spots for a quiet break although a little chilly at times. Also the art and sculptures throughout makes for a quiet and interesting break from gaming and noise.
Of course, for a serious nap as in the snoring kind, only the room will do.:snore:

Jean Georges at Aria is definetly a nice place if you want to go to enjoy a drink in peace and quiet...Sometimes the Lounge at Signature can be really nice and chill to enjoy a drink too. If you are walking about, the art galleries next to Aria are peaceful.

There's a few that come to mind:

    Mandalay Bay
    • Spa, pretty sizable, good place to relax and sleep to the sound of the water falls.
    • Valley of the Falls - small-ish area, but pretty lightly traveled
    Aria
    • Fireside lounge near the fitness center/elevators for the spa. Grab a cup of coffee from Starbucks and chill there for a few.

That's right, I forgot...the fireside lounge is a nice quiet place to relax for a few minutes.

The quietest place I've ever found is gone. The Stardust had a pool area, which was separate from its regular pool/hot tub.
Few people used it and it was the perfect oasis of relaxation. Comfortable lounge chairs, real grass around the pool and blocked off from any Strip noise.
A person could use it without being a guest. Loved that place.
