    Hello All,

As I am looking to establish a back up membership to my back up membership, I was considering the Station Casino group (specifically GVR, Sunset Station or RR). I have a Boarding Pass card, but haven't used it in about 3 years.

For those who have a relationship with the Station group, how friendly is the membership? Do they send offers regularly? Email? Snail-mail? Through website? Any information would be great.

    Thanks!

We have been going to RR and GVR for years because we like it there but not because they are generous with comps. Our rooms are comped but we get very little FP or resort credits even though we are at the President tier level. Tier status renews every six months instead of annually as at most other casinos. If you're not a whale or a local, I would look elsewhere. OTOH, although we're not big fans, Boyd properties are very generous with comps. The only Boyd we like to stay at is Suncoast. We get offers by snail mail and Email but they're few and far between. Sunset Station is a little more generous with offers but the rooms are not in the same ballpark as RR and GVR but we do like the casino.

They might give you a teaser offer at RR and GVR if you give them some play but, unless you go a lot and/or play a lot, don't expect anything too spectacular. We get better offers from MLife.

    NandJfrmNJ,

Thank you for this detailed explanation! I know I hadn't heard or read much about Station membership and benefits and wanted to verify just what you explained.

Mlife is my home, Boyd is my back up. Just looking for another back up.

    My search continues . . .

Another option is CET but I'm sure you know how they work. Generous with room comps, some free play, sometimes show tickets. We just never seem to win there and aren't crazy about the CET hotels in LV although we've been diamond for years. For us, the advantage of CET is that they have many casinos around the country that we like to visit like NOLA and Lake Tahoe.

I like Palace Station...the tower has decent rooms and they have all the video poker and slots I like...and it was pretty easy to get a nights anytime + $50 free play per month

I have found them to be very generous. We stayed at GVR in Oct 2015 for 2 nights to try it out (after staying on the Strip). This was the only time we had been at a Station casino. Ever since, we've gotten offers for 3 free nights and FP, invites to special events like their NYE and March Madness parties, etc. (Snail mail and email)

We wanted to try Red Rock on our next trip, but all of my offers were for GVR. I called RR and asked if they would honor my GVR offer. They said they are property specific. She said she might be able to offer something if she had a host check my play. She came back on the line and we got a comp room offer there for next trip.

We definitely felt the "locals vibe" at GVR. I am interested to see if it is the same way at RR next month.
