    My Trip Report

Pretty pumped for my trip early Saturday morning so I'm making a pre-trip post..

Background: Heading out Saturday morning for four solo nights in Vegas and figured I'd try to do a live trip report while I'm there. My last trip was in January with 3 buddies but I didn't get to gamble as much as I'd like so I decided to book another trip just a couple months later. This will be my 8th trip overall and 3rd solo. When I'm solo I usually do a ton of gambling with the majority being slots ($2-3 a spin) and sports bets but I'll throw in the occasional BJ or Three Card Poker depending on how I'm feeling.

I fly in early Saturday morning and have a quick layover on the way there. I've never had a problem checking in to any Vegas hotel early, but I've also never arrived on a Saturday morning so I'm hoping for some good luck at check-in. Fully expecting to have to wait a few hours though..

Hotel: I'm staying at Mirage in a comped Mirage Suite with $500 freeplay and $500 resort credit. I struggled with the idea of switching my reservation to Bellagio or Aria earlier this week. When the Mlife offers were updated, I got the same offer at those 2 properties and since I've never stayed at either, I really considered it but decided to stick with Mirage since I enjoy the sportsbook and vibe.

Gambling Plan: I'll be hoping to post a lot of pics of slot wins and sports tickets. Looking to make it back to platinum status this trip as I don't see myself making it back to Vegas before tier credits expire…I think I'm around 50K TC right now so it's definitely attainable, I think. I'm still debating on how I want to use my freeplay, but it will definitely be the first thing I do when I arrive. I'm either going to run it through a $5 pinball machine and hope to hit a nice bonus or use it at max bet on a penny slot. Also planning to do an 8 team $100 parlay Saturday night, which could be exciting. Hopefully the first or second game doesn't ruin the excitement Lol. Oh and I should mention that I'll have the drinks flowing all four days since I'll be gambling a bunch..

Food: I'm not a big foodie but I do have a few places planned. I'm going to hit Tender at Luxor one night as I have the $75 voucher from MyVegas. Also looking to eat at LVB Burger, The Pantry and Carnegie. I used to eat at BLT every trip so I'm a little disappointed that it's gone but I'll go ahead and try LVB Burger for the first time this trip. I'm sure I'll get a pizza from CPK in Mirage as well at some point because who doesn't love pizza?

Other Plans: I only have a few things planned throughout the trip as I usually like to leave a lot of time for gambling and watching sports. I'll be seeing Love for the second time on Monday night and also going to the Secret Garden for the first time on this trip (Myvegas rewards). I think Love is probably the best out of the Cirque shows I've seen which is why I'm seeing it again. I've also got a small collection of $1 chips that I started a few trips ago so I'll try to add to that collection a bit this trip and maybe even make it down to Fremont Street, but I can't guarantee that as I've only gone once in my 7 previous trips. I'm also thinking of walking down to Circus Circus one day as it is the only strip hotel I haven't seen yet..

That's pretty much all I've got for now. I'll post more including pics once I'm on the way!

Sounds like a great plan - looking forward to following along. Are you MLife platinum now? You mentioned doing the Secret Gardens via My Vegas but you could do for free if you're platinum. Just a thought...

It's the Platinum Experience letter you're supposed to get when you stay. You get your choice of the Gardens, Bellagio Fine Art museum, NYNY coaster, or MB Aquarium. Mirage is the only place that has voluntarily handed me my letter; every other place I have to ask and half the time the desk person has no idea what I'm talking about. It's listed on MLife's website as a platinum benefit but nobody at the hotels seem to know...

@zNaturaL - I'm looking forward to following as we will be arriving at the Mirage just after you leave - we hope to see lots of posts with lots of slot wins! But kindly leave a pittance for us! We like staying at Mirage cause we win at slots there; and we like our host and LOVE is our favorite (8 times) lol!

If you try The Pantry, consider their pancakes and a side of sausage - they are both really good. Like you, we always hit up CPK for a pizza and salad sometime during our stay.

As @TedCheddy noted above most mlife properties forget to hand you the platinum letter experience at check-in. Since it includes experiences at several other properties as well as Mirage, you might consider requesting it at check-in (that is the only place and time to get it), just in case you decide to use it - you can use it one time per trip at any of the named properties. We enjoy the Secret Garden, the Aquarium, and the Fine Art museum so it's a nice platinum perk.

Again sending good luck karma your way!

Thanks for the heads up on the platinum experience. I'll have to request it at check in and I'll probably hit up the bellagio art gallery as I've never been. And thanks for the good luck wishes all.

You can cancel awards and the points go back to you immediately. I ended up cancelling all 4 awards I had purchased for my trip last week. Good luck on your solo trip.

Looking forward to following along, wishing you lots of luck, look forward to lots of winning slot pics. I love the Mirage too, when I stayed in January on a solo trip, I was booked into a Mirage suite by my host, when I checked in, I was upgraded to a 1 bed tower suite, so much space for a solo trip lol
Can't wait to return in July!

Huge sports bettor here so I'm interested in your plans for the 8 teamer Saturday night.
    College hoops? NBA? NHL?
It's conference tourney time so there will be games going off starting early morning Vegas time and will last until midnight Vegas time-- plenty of choices to fill out an 8 team parlay card.
I'll be in town march 31-April 5--just in time for opening day of the MLB season and the final four of the NCAA hoops--
Look for me in the Westgate Superbook most of the weekend...[emoji41]

I'm thinking the majority of my parlay will be M/L NBA games, but I'll have to take a closer look tonight and tomorrow when I arrive.

If I did all NBA, I'd feel pretty confident about 5 teams, but not the nuggets, raptors or pistons, so I'm not sure yet.

Just wrapped up my work day so it's time to pack and get ready for Vegas. Gotta get up at 3am for my flight! Again, thanks for the good luck wishes.

I wouldn't mind an upgrade but not counting on it! Haha, even though I'll hardly be in my room.

With an 8 game parlay and risking 100, I'd feel much more comfortable betting ML favs in something like the NBA as well-- if I followed the NBA at all. Lol!
Big hockey fan here so if I see any games Saturday that I'd want to hit hard I'll post my plays here. Toss them in with a few of your nba plays and take a few coins from the bookie.
    Enjoy your trip!

@Geogran Love is on my agenda for my next trip. Was wondering if you might have any seating recommendations?

    Thanks :)
