    My Trip Report

I love reading everyone's trip reports so this is my attempt at a payback.

We haven't been to Vegas in 9 years. Most of my gambling has been on cruises and poker at our lcal poker room (we are from Florida). But even with my rare foray into a CET property I still was able to get 3 free nights at Paris (paying 115 for Friday), plus the resort fees of course. Also used sky miles to fly free on Delta.

Tried the $20 trick at checkin. My reservation was for a basic pet friendly king although we have no pet with us. Got a very friendly clerk who put us in a very recently remodeled 23rd floor room. Beautiful and we are happy.

This being a very long travel day we did not do much tonight. Walked up the strip as far as Harrah's where I quickly dropped $175 by losing six straight BJ hands (one was a double). Too tired to chase it so settled for a bit more walking around and calling it a night. Will try to post daily out here but no promises.

Score on the room, esp since you didn't bring your pet!

Any idea whether you were put into a Red Room or Burgundy? Staying at Paris in July. Thanks

Beautiful blue sky day today, cool this morning. Our bodies are still on eastern time so we shared the sidewalks with the early morning joggers shortly after dawn. Had the Bacchanal Buffet breakfast at Caesar's where our $10 LVA coupons offset the unlmited mimosa package we ordered. Excellent food and service. After, the wife strolled the forum shops while I recouped yesterday's losses in Caesar's poker room. Up next, Big Elvis at Harrah's!

Quick question on the $10 LVA coupon. The Bacchanal Buffet website says the brunch is only $30 if you are there by 10AM. Did they only charge $20 per person, before the mimosas of course . Was just curious. I'm going in May and willing to pay $20 for the brunch but not $30. Good luck on the trip!

To answer a couple questions: Yes, I believe the breakfast buffet was 30 before the coupon. At 9:30 or so they had a mix of foods, including shrimp, mussels, a carving station as well as the usual breakfast stuff.

The room has a coffee maker and mini fridge.

Blackjack went south this afternoon, lost at every session. Done today.

We start each day with a power walk, on the strip before 7- bodies are still on eastern time. We are loving our mid-strip location. Yesterday, we went north to the Wynn, today south to MGM/New York. Fun getting out early, blue skies and mid-40's. Mid-morning we used our LVA twofer for the Wicked Spoon buffet at Cosmopolitan. Terrific food and service, deserving of the accolades it is receiving. I then made a deposit to my fellow poker players n Aria while my wife relaxed at the Paris pool. Late afternoon we had dinner on the patio at Mon Ami Gabi watching the sun set, the Bellagio fountains and listening to a surprisingly good street performer. Terrific.

My wife has had the gambling luck today. At the Cosmo she hit a 25c Elvis slot for $250 and tonight hit the roulette wheel for another nice win.
