    My Trip Report

Well, we just return from SB in Vegas not too long ago when I decided there was a tradeshow I just couldn't miss in Vegas (much like all the other free tickets, I mean trade shows) the problem is my schedule is packed like a prison mates asshole, so here begins the longest journey to the promise land. Hoping this provides a bit of Travel therapy and that I can get some pics up along the way!

    Schedule
    2/25 Atl-JFK
    2/26 JFK-Dubai
    3/3 Dubai-JFK
    3/3 JFK-ATL
3/4 Chattanooga (the fuck knows their AC)-Biloxi on comped trip with Mlife, bc, why not?
    3/7 back to Atl
    3/10 Drive to Cherokee Quest
    3/11 back home
3/13 ATL-DEN this trip will have some fun involved
    3/20 DEN-ATL
    3/22 Atl-PHX
    3/24 PHX-LAS
    3/30 LAS-ATL-EDIT
    3/30 LAS-NYC drive to poconos 3/31
    4/1 NYC-ATL

Okay, now that it's on "paper" it looks a lot worse then I thought. Oh well, Wheels UP!!

    PS-4/3-4/9 ATL-Masters in Augusta

2/25 uneventful flight to JFK and even more of an uneventful stay at the airport Sheraton (Starwood for life!) shit even had time to wake up and eat at the Club Lounge, one of the only ones with rather good service and comp drinks.

2/26 I am a loyal Delta Diamond (5 million miler) but this time they could take their KLM & Air France pawn offs and shove them up their respective asses, we are going Emirates to Dubai (and that will never change) in their Business class that beats the living hell out of Delta One, it literally makes DL1 look like coach. If youve never been on an A380-800, don't, it'll ruin you, forever! Going back to the weekly Delta runs on their more than shitty 757s just go so much worse. I digress, complimentary limo service picks me up at Sheraton 9A as advised with face towels, water and snacks...great way to start a 13 hr journey, private VIP airport entrance and I'm through screening in 2 mins. Go to the Emirates lounge, my dear God! Once again, ruined! Sky club looks like a prison holding cell (this in no way is to say United or American is any better, you're worse) just titted out with the best of EVERYTHING! Feel like I'm forgetting something and about half way through my Veuve Cliquet I realize I left my suitcase at security (I never carry on bc with Deltas 20 min bags or you get 2500 miles, I typically add 50k miles annually from them being 1 min late) so I literally F bomb the whole lounge and hall ass back to get it. Problem averted, it's there and a simple what color are your underwear etc etc test and my case is mine again. About time to board, super excited to check this bird out for reals, into the airplane and up the Gold and wood paneled staircase to the land of ever fliers wet dream, rid of "freedom thieves" (kids) and coach class peasantry, nothing but row after row of lux lux lux, now just to find Jennifer Annistons seat! Stow all my sheot and I'm down in my amaze balls seat with not 1, not 2, but 3 TVs, and a mini bar, the fuck you need 3 tvs is beyond me, but I'll bite, the more the merrier. It was a removable tv (iPad size) that you can carry to the lounge and continue watching whatever it is you're watching. Have a seat and 2006 Vintage Dom Perignon is deposited to my desk mini-bar area, oh sweet nectar!!! Now that's how you get the air party started!! For some reason I didn't photo the lounge. Will do on way home, but here is a screenshot

Flight from JFK was the kind of uneventful you dream of, not a single announcement once airborne until we were descending. I must say, the level of service that Emirates has is beyond any and all expectation. They have 1 staff member for ever 3 biz class travelers (not sure for the 12 1st class "apartments" but figured ignorance is bliss) and you are waited on nonstop, hell, they even have a sticker you can put on your cube that says if I'm asleep don't wake me until xxx:30 or whatever time you want, and have XYZ waiting on me when you do wake me. In my case a salmon tartare slider with baked "French fries", delicious! And a 2002 Bordeaux, even more deliciousier!!!

Love the exterior (3) cameras on the plane that they call "airshow" where you can watch everything the pilot sees. I come from an aviation engineering family so this stuff intrigues the shit out of me and I watched it so much you'd of thought I was tweaking out on a season of house of cards, fortunately that happened months ago. I'll try to upload a landing video where it felt like he was trying to bury the wheels in the Dubai sand, but alas a safe landing. Like a DF I took a 10:40A flight out of JFK that lands at 8A Dubai time, none of the flight was in my general sleep zone so only pulled 2 hours sleep the whole flight, still felt short, though. Landed, Emirates fast pass through customs and to Comp chauffeur svc (F-you American carriers!!! This service is tits McGilicutty and should be included on all premium long haul) on my way to Westin Al Habtoor city for the first night so I've got a base camp for Burj Khalifa next day. Upgraded and room ready at 10A with 4P late checkout. Pics below. Sleep all day til 5, crossfit class at 6, ubereats and back down for the count. Burj Khalifa day after waking at 6A and crushing every pod at the Nespresso machine. Breakfast buffet the size of Cosmos and I'm off at 9P in Uber to the BK. Side note-uber starts at Uber Black here, all are Lexus ES and average fare is $7-10usd, once you hit 10 rides you get Uber VIP which includes Bentleys, Ranges, Maserati etc and about $1-2 cheaper!?!?!? Oh and if you really want to go next level shit, see Uber pic below. Only in Dubai

After BK-workout, checkout of hotel and move to the Palazzo Versace the Donatella Versace designed 5-star. Amazing bed. Dinner tonight at PLAY. Was a recommended to my boss and I from our billionaire Sheik friend (the same guy who told us "we quite honestly could not spend what we bring in in a day no matter what we buy", well fuck you you lucky bastard, thanks for reminding me that the next time I think I've "made it", that I haven't) Food was good, but not that good. Let me tell you, Dubai makes Las Vegas prices seem as if you're dining at the food court
Risotto $200USD-yes it's made inside an imported cheese wheel, but GFYS!! $200 Risotto that did not wow.
    Truffle fries $32USD again wtf?
Asparagus $22 it was 3 stalks!!

Ordered a few other things and bill totaled out at about $800 with NO booze. Anywho, was paid for by the boss so no harm no foul, a decent experience and the eye candy would make you drop to your knees

    Fun facts about BK
Basically a giant middle finger to the rest of the world stating we have more money than you, and per capita, they do

    Worlds highest
    Building
    Observation deck 148th floor (555 M)
    Restaurant

Til next installment-today I've got 13 meetings with the wealthiest companies in Dubai, so it won't be until late, that is if I don't crack open one of the 375ml bottles in my room, the $150USD price tag is a deterrent. For those wondering, they are the 1/2 5th bottles you buy in Vegas gift shops for tha appaling 25-35$ price LOL!!!!!

    Good stuff, jdk!

You and I are definitely rolling at different levels today!

Two $1 Mtn. Dews and a 6-inch meatball sub for me! And no eye candy :nono: amongst the construction crew eating at Subway next to me!

I can't wait to see what's next in your TR!

The BK has the most appalling collection of American chain restaurants under one roof anywhere in the world. The restaurant near the top is pretty great though...as you say, as long as someone else pays!

Haha, I'll do my best to keep these kind of months a bay.

Ready to get on this flight and have a drink. Did the math on the "airplane" 50ml bottles in room as well 95AED or $26.40!?!? Get me to Vegas where I can save money shopping at the in room minibar LMAO! Lots of gambling coming up this weekend, or as much sinning as I can squeeze into 3 days in Biloxi. Need to cleanse my soul from this clean lifestyle lived the past week and a half.
