If it comes off I won't be going if Steve wants $20 to get in. I read a quote from him saying that rich people like being with rich people. If you read Oscar Goodman's book, Steve was all for him going for Mayor. When he got it though Steve wanted nothing to do with Downtown and revamping it. The guy's a jerk

I don't think he could get away with charging an entry fee. I am excited for 5 new hotels and a beach-like experience on the strip. I think this will be Wynn's last big project.

I like the idea, but don't care for the name; maybe it's the "park" - sounds cheapie.

I'm with Pea on this. As if MGM didn't just beat "Park" to death on the other side of the strip. Right now you can visit "The Park" and soon half of Monte Carlo will become "Park MGM"

Does the Steve know that his drawing don't include any parks? Its mostly beach & water... Maybe Paradise Pond...

How much will it cost to keep that mini lake full of water? Looks yuuuge

I'd love to check it out if it happens. If I could afford Wynn/Encore down the road, it would possibly sway me and my wife to book a stay even though we prefer to be a little more central.

Early reports say the lagoon will actually consume less water than the old golf course did.

I think he just likes alliteration. :goofy:

Personally, I think Paradise Beach would be good.

Well, it will make the views from Palazzo more interesting. That's about all I'll say for it.

With all due respect, are you serious? They charge for "everything" in Vegas these days and people pay it. Hell, Steve gets $400-$500/day for a poolside bed at the Encore Euro pool (not from me...lol) and we see them full all the time, especially on a weekend in the summer.

The company building the pond is Crystal Lagoons, they have projects all over the world.

Here is a link to the Wynn project http://www.crystal-lagoons.com/projects/

The video below describes a planned community project in Florida

But just come out to Atlantic City in the summer for the real thing. No beach fee and the waves are free. No one checks your cooler either, just use a beer koozie.

originally they said they would only remove the first nine holes and leave the other half at the back of the property, guess he found out he could make way more filling those hotels than charging $500 for a round of golf

I am going to miss The Country Club restaurant. It's one of the reasons why I am trying to enjoy it as much as I reasonably can each trip before it closes with the golf course, etc.

I'm sure Steve Wynn will have nice restaurants in its place but there is something about the combination of great food, a spectacular and calm (waterfall) view, indoor and outdoor dining that is elegant without having to listen to folks walking by on the street, great service + music on Sunday during the jazz brunch that makes for a wonderful dining experience that has now become one of my favorites in Vegas. The other two being Lakeside and Mon Ami Gabi. I am having brunch at the The Country Club on Easter Sunday and I am so looking forward to it. I've never dined there for dinner but I want to try it one night as well.

So what is the latest on Wynn's Paradise Park? Will it happen. If so, when? Is it replacing the golf course or in addition to the existing golf course? What do you think of it?
