    Hey folks!

Heading back to Vegas May 8-11, looking to splurge on a pool cabana one morning. Pricing for Luxor cabanas is up at the moment, and the price is the same between the North Pool Cabana and Bar Pool Cabana. Anyone have experience with the Luxor pool? Any recommendations as to which pool location to choose or other advice?

    Thanks!

We did the North Pool Cabana. It's more private and that's what we were looking for. The Bar Pool is the "main" pool w/far more people. The North Pool required paid entry for regular chairs. And then there are different prices for the nicer chairs, daybeds, and of course the cabanas. Anyone in that area is given a wristband. That being said - we enjoyed the quieter pool since we weren't there for a party, but just for some sun and relaxation. There are some North Pool area pics in my TR here.

@bshowell - thanks and great pics! I think we'd want something busier than the North Pool looks from your trip (I'm surprised it was that quiet in August), so I think we'll go with the Bar Pool.

Hope you enjoy. It's a nice pool area all around. We had our cabana during the weekday, so there weren't as many people around.

    Very neat, thank you!

So it looks like MGM is the only one that has Food & Beverage Minimum included in the rate. Does that mean that food and alcohol are "free" up to the price of the cabana rental for the day (and then anything on top is extra...or if the rental price isn't met with food and alcohol then you pay the rate anyway)?

Yes, correct. I've done MGM cabanas on several occasions with a group and we eclipsed the amount each time (I think our rate had been $1200)

Just to close the loop on this, we ended up reserving at Moorea Beach Club!

Thanks again for the responses, suggestions, and reservation portal!

For May 10 it's $225 for the "Living Room" seating. I thought about the Cabana at Moorea, but they're pushed pretty far back and out of the way. The "Living Room" overlooks the pool, and includes a daybed, small sofa, and umbrella.
