For years, I have enjoyed staying and playing at a number of Boyd hotels in Las Vegas. Have stayed at the Orleans so many times I have lost count and have stayed at the Gold Coast, Fremont and Main Street Station as well. Didn't always play that much but was frequently invited back for free nights. This past year I probably played 4 or 5 times more than I ever had before. I even made it to Sapphire. In addition, I was a winner, hitting a Royal for over $2200 and ending the year ahead over $1000. Kind of thought all this play would lead to a lot bigger and better offers but, if anything, they have stayed the same or gotten worse. While I had not normally lost a lot of money in the past, I am pretty sure I had never been a winner before either. Do you think I am being penalized because I actually won money from them this past year or am I just being paranoid? I would totally spend at least half of my Vegas nights with Boyd but CET offers me so much more these days for my level of play. Seems pretty short sighted to me as, in the long run they are all but certain to win it all back and more.

You have willingly stayed there numerous times so they really dont need to send you offers as they probably figure you will continue.

You may be right. I guess the best way to test this is just to not stay or play there and see if they decide to sweeten the pot to bring me back.

I don't know that they are penalizing you. I think that Boyd can be slow to recalibrate offers once they put you in a particular basket. If your actual coin in is up, maybe you should bypass marketing and try a host.

My money is on the above as well. Most clubs will continue to entice you if they thought you were taking your action elsewhere. So if you stayed/played with Boyd once or twice a year you might see offers increase slightly each month or quarter to bring you back in. In your case they might assume that it just takes $50 in free play + 3 nights comped and thats all they need to do to get you to play.

Why increase your offers to $250 and 3 nights in a suite when much less will do the trick. But each club has its own algorithm for offers so who knows. But I have never heard of a casino roll back offers if you win too much. Its all based on play not wins or losses. Your host can look at losses and over comp you. But I cant see corporate offers seeing a win and then reduce your comp. If anything they should want a shot at getting their money back.

Some clubs are fair XXX play = this and XXX play = that. Others look to see what your trigger is. My locals does this all the time. My offers start at $25 in free play and a room for 3 nights. Each month I dont go there my offers continue to almost double. $50 then $100 Then $175 and they seem to peak there. That's enough to get me back in and the offers reset to 25 to see if I'll come back for less.

I've never ever stayed in a Boyd property and rarely gamble in one either. I hit a $1199 progressive (which I cashed out and ran) at GC a couple of years back and my offers went strangely big. Got a mailer 2nd week back home with 7 nights free play and resort credit WTF?

FWIW my win loss for that year was $1199 win

I still get 3 nights comped weekends included, resort credit and free play. I booked the last one for Nascar weekend no trouble. I know I must keep up my traditional level of play for these to continue. It's gonna be hard to come up with another $1199 win no loss.
