I put it in this forum because years ago he headlined the EFX show at the MGM Grand and I got to see him there.

Former Partridge Family singer David Cassidy retired from performing because he admitted he is suffering from Dementia. He was playing a show in Agoura Hills, Ca. when he noticed that he was forgetting the words to decades old songs that he made popular. Said the disease affected his mother also. He is 66 years old.
    Very sad.

I saw that story, too! :(

I wish David--and his support system of family and friends--all the best.
It was horrible watching my mother-in-law--a vibrant, outgoing woman--succumb to dementia and AD.
I hope he can be surrounded by his loved ones, and encircled with love, patience, and caring. :peace:

yes, that and an addiction to booze hasn't served him well.
i met him at Saratoga one day many years ago. he was into thoroughbreds.

for my wifes 50th birthday a few moons ago, we were staying at the Rio.
He and Sheena Easton were starring in At The Copa....
When I went to the box office to buy tickets, I told the woman it was Loris birthday.
She said if I wanted there were two tickets available in a certain row/section
that he would go into the audience and sing to the lady in that seat.
Now, when she was a teeny bopper,David was one of her favorites.......
Well, the show goes off and sure enough he comes up to where we were
and sings I Think I Love You right in front of her......
Later on Sheena comes up to me and sings For Your Eyes Only....
Needless to say the DND sign was ont the doorknob later

Wasn't he one of the artists for The Golden Nugget 52 Fridays experience. I was looking at shows before I went Vegas the other week and I'm sure he came up being on at Nugget

Saw him @ 6 months ago at Fallsview. A bit of a strange show. I thought he was going to have a breakdown on stage a few times.

Before the show, had no idea about his relationship, addiction and financial issues.

Wow, you know you're getting old when your teenage crush has dementia. Sobering thought.
