On 2/21/2017 we went to the 24 hour long open house event at T-Mobile arena. Every hour they gave away free tickets to an upcoming game. It was a fun event for families, locals, and tourists. The new hockey team is trying to build it's fan base.
I put together this video of my run through the event.
Anybody else go and what did you think? What do you think of Ice Hockey in Las Vegas?

    NSFW - language

The Hanson Brothers were real. I saw them play for the Johnstown Jets against the Philadelphia Firebirds in the United States Hockey League. I saw more crazy shit in those USHL games than could ever be seen and would sound made up, but it was very real.

I can hardly wait to see the Golden Knights arena packed when the Blackhawks, Flyers, Kings, Ducks, Sharks, Bruins and Penguins come to town. Should be a lot of fun!

I agree, but other teams travel well also, despite being far away. Buffalo, Toronto, Habs...

I went to the arena for the first time last week for Monday Night Raw. Can't wait to go to a game this fall. Seems like the place has really good sightlines for hockey. Saw in an article last week, tickets starting out at $25.

Agree, there are always tons of Canadians in Vegas, so throw in Canucks, Jets, Flames, Oilers, Leafs, Habs, Sens....

Wife andI have already discussed planning a trip when the Senators are in LV. Not huge hockey fans, but will be another excuse to go to LV.

I'm beginning to think we can say the same about every team in the league. Maybe even some Coyotes fans will be there. They don't have far to go.

    I'm loving this stuff!!!

We had a deposit on season tickets before the arena was built. Now, we have seats, but no team or coach. It's fun to be part of it, literally, from the beginning. The open house was a great idea. It was fun to be on "ice" and get into the penalty box before our team. I was able to sit in our seats, find the easiest way in & out and I was thrilled that there is an elevator that leads us straight to them. It's a really great set up, no bad seat in the house. Bathrooms are concessions are convenient too.

    You'll find me here!

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking when I got into the penalty box and sat on the team's benches. Great way to get the fans involved early and build up the excitement of the upcoming season. Now I hope they will continue the momentum and plan more events involving the public after assembling the team. Maybe like opening up practice sessions to the fans or meet and greet with the players...something along those lines.
