Has anyone taken one of the Vegas Walking Tours? If yes, which one and how did it go?

I just looked at the website and it looks like we have seen most of that stuff on our own already. I am just going to take a guess that most of the VMBers who have visited downtown have also been to most or all of these places. I am speaking for myself and my spouse, I will spend my $35*2 in the casino.
Also, Glitter Gulch is now gone along with Mermaids and LaBayou.

    Un uh....never done it.

I'd be hard pressed to do this.

I'm just not sure - in this day of interwebary and the close proximity of all things Strip & Fremont - that I'd drop potential gaming funds to walk around (which, interestingly is what everyone does anyway...walk around). I can't imagine what uber-secret only-insiders type of information or future cocktail party info-nugget you'd pick up by participating. I mean...it's hard to MISS stuff in Vegas.

Ironic. (And I'm not seeing a link????) A client has asked me for a Vegas walking-tour piece, and I'm trying to steer 'em another direction.

Here's a link (just read it ;)) to the site [https://lasvegaswalkingtours.net/]...now think about that...you're gonna drop $35 to walk around downtown / Fremont Street? You're gonna pay to walk around. I mean - navigating that geography is not a difficult task especially since you KNOW you're in Vegas. That $35 could be used for gamin' or drinkin'...not for traipsing around behind Mandy while she explains how Benny made his dinero.

    Merci.

I think we all have a laundry list of touristy things that as fans, of whatever destination, we say avoid like the plague. But they function and serve a purpose, even if not for us specifically. Don't get me going on Waikiki, for instance.

Thanks deansrobinson for posting the link and sorry ken for not posting the link. I googled it and then never thought about sharing the link.:(
I am thinking this walking tour would be geared more towards Vegas first timers rather than Vegas veterans.

    No worries.

Exactly. I mean, we have people here who've been to Vegas three or even five times, they need a 12-step, obviously!

...wife and I did the walking tour for DT. Found it on Groupon so the total was around $35 for 2 people. It took about an hour. Each person got a headset so you could hear the guide even while walking down Fremont or if you fell behind. He had a binder of old pictures that we would stop and look at to compare to the things we were looking at. He pointed out points of interest in each casino including good places to eat, happy hours, etc. Tons of interesting facts and things pointed out. Started at Plaza and ended at Container Park. At the end received some decent coupons too. Would highly recommend it, for the Vegas degen or a first time visitor...
