Getting ready to book our first trip in a decade in a few days. I have it narrowed down to these three. The cost is within a couple of hundred dollars between them all so that part isn't really an issue.

I love the idea of having a balcony at the Cosmo, but the restaurants and the pool don't seem to appeal much to me when looking at pictures.

Bellagio comes with 2 free buffet meals at booking, My husband thinks the room looks old fashioned.

The Venetian room itself is my favorite. The amenities seem comparable between here and Bellagio.
What would you guys do? Pros and cons you found when staying?
    Thanks!

Congrats on planning your return trip! You will certainly find that a lot has changed! :D

Each property has it's own pros and cons--more pros than cons for these three properties IMO.
You probably can't go wrong with any of them.

I love the mystique, feel, and location of Bellagio. I don't know...maybe I've watched Ocean's 11 too many times! :faint:
Can't comment on the other properties too much as I've only passed through.
I'm positive more helpful info will follow from other VMBers soon!

Best wishes as the excitement of your planning continues!
    Welcome to VMB!

    In order

    Cosmo with fountain view
Cosmo with any view - all are balcony
    Bellegio with a lake view
Maybe V/P. Rooms are great, but the casino has never been a plus for us.

Really - ANY of them are great.

Not sure if the "crowd" is a factor for you but the Bellagio and V/P tend to draw a more "mature" set, and the general vibe is more relaxed and classic.

Cosmo tends to cater to a younger crowd, and in reality despite the funky decor a lot of the restaurants are world class. Can't recommend STK enough, it's great. I'm a big Cosmo fan in general, I love the energy and vibe of the place and in my opinion the customer service and overall experience is the best on the strip. The Terrace rooms and suites are amazing too.

I'm not a fan of Bellagio. IMO I think it's slipped from what it once was, it's constantly overcrowded, the decor is dated and the restaurant scene there has gotten stale.

V/P is a beautiful property and they have a TON of great food options, both on the casino level and in the Shoppes. I have 0 luck there gambling-wise though and there's not, to me at least, the vibe and energy of the Cosmo.

So for me I'd go Cosmo or V/P and give Bellagio a miss. Have fun.

We like Cosmo; great location, balcony rooms, good-sized casino, varied restaurant choices (and close to other properties so you can eat elsewhere very easily, if you desire). Bellagio is a gorgeous hotel but feels like a cattle call to us with so much traffic passing through. Never stayed at Venetian but it is a beautiful property. You can't go wrong with any of those hotels, though.

FWIW, we also like Aria and Vdara. Vdara is a quiet retreat and is non-smoking and non-gaming, if that is your thing. They are also centrally located on the strip. Whatever you choose, have fun and enjoy your time in Vegas.

You won't go wrong with any of these properties - we've stayed at all three.

Cosmo - the terrace fountain view is the draw for us, rooms are nice but not spectacular, mid strip location, some good restaurants (China Poblano, Milos, Scarpetta, Holstein's for burgers, Wicked Spoon buffet), two pools, good slot options but casino is small for a hotel that size. A young, trendy, loud crowd which we ignore because we don't fall into that demographic, lol!

Venetian/Palazzo - suites are well done, classic styling - currenty being updated (might be completed by now), north strip location, many choices of every type of restaurant (Bouchon, Delmonico's, Grand Lux Cafe, Table Ten, Grimaldi's Pizza are some fav's), two casinos but our least favorite place for slots, great spa, great for shopping and walking.

Bellagio - classic traditional well appointed rooms, great strip location, good sized casino but lots of foot traffic and can get noisy in certain areas, nice pool, some favorite restaurants (Le Cirque, Olives, Lago, Prime Steakhouse, Michael Mina). The buffet is ok but not as good as years past. Fee for parking if you have a car.

Have a great trip and let us know how it goes - a lot has changed in a decade!

Cosmo easily. The rooms are the best and the balcony makes it a complete obvious pick.

The location is fantastic too. I can get north/south easily on foot. V/P is too far north imo.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those choices. I cannot speak from experience as I've only stayed at Cosmopolitan.

Cosmo. The balcony is such a unique experience in the strip.

A balcony is way better than any room. Cosmo. U can go to the others for any other amenity.

The overwhelming consensus seems to be Cosmo, which is what I am leaning for. The balcony and that tub in the one bedroom terrace is calling my name! It's also the cheapest. I really would have stayed Venetian but it seems so far away from everything! Thank you guys!

Cosmo all the way! Plus make sure you find the secret pizza place! It's hidden but you'll love it for a late night snack after a long day and night of drinking!

We have stayed at all 3 and my vote would be Cosmo. There is something to be said about walking out on the balcony with a coffee in the morning or a pre dinner drink in the evening.

P.S. Also to mention that they are a lot more generous when it comes to comps.

I stayed at all 3. If i had to rank
    Cosmo
    Bellagio
    V/P

I like the cosmo (even though they have some weird books and decor). I personally prefer the v/p rooms but not the floor, drinks or pool. I like the bellagio's pool better that the cosmo or v/p. But the gaming floor, drinks, atmosphere at the cosmo are a better option for me.

So now that I have pretty much decided Cosmo, I would assume the fountain view terrace is worth the extra cost? What am I looking at out of the regular terrace one bedroom?

Gotta agree with the others, Cosmo. It's our home base in Vegas in fact we just had another incredible stay last week. They have some great restaurants and the pool areas are very nice. The Bamboo pool is more laid back compared to the Boulevard Pool. Here's a few pics from last week's stay.

The Fountain View is worth the extra. It's one of the best views from any room in Vegas.

Not sure what the distribution view-wise of the non-fountain terrace suites are but I know for a fact that on the other side of the property you get a rousing view of...the side of Aria. I know this because I was one of the saps staring at the side of Cosmo FROM Aria last year. They would probably sell it as a "pool view", but, yeah, get the fountain.
