marquee - lack of party pics?

I noticed that there is a lack of party pics on the Marquee website. Marquee had a reference to their Instagram account but I checked it out and there are only a few pics per month whereas XS has a ton of pics for every night that they're open.

This seems like a bad sign. Either Marquee doesn't want to spend the money to put up party pics (a few hundred bucks?) or they don't want to advertise the clientele that they're pulling right now. What is your opinion? Every first and second tier nightclub that I know of posts party pics.

 

I was there on labor day weekend. It was amazing. At least the girls were. I definitely enjoyed myself there.

XS probably has some intern or marketing person dedicated to updating their instagram. Marquee doesn't, or just doesn't post as frequently.

I like XS better but Marquee is great too. Lack of pics don't mean anything

 

It is.
Marquee has been going downhill for quite some time.
Cosmo is changing their strategy, focusing more on gambling.

 

Keep trying something to see if it works.

the gambling side will only get so far. Poor payouts and BJ rules along with a single location players club makes for a challenge to raise their gambling take.

Then they will swing back to the club revenue play again.

Round and round it goes.

 

Last year trips, I had a ball each time at marquee. During my summer trips it was packed. DJ inside and a different DJ outside(sometimes they will just pump the main room music outside). When a place has two DJs going on that shows me they are doing good. However, the past 2 or 3 years every trip to Marquee the boombox room is closed. I guess they stop doing that?

Even if its just the main room, they do a good job at packing the place. They also spend alot of money on confetti, and silly string things on the dance floor.....great way to have some fun later in the night and easy ice breaker to meeting girls. Maybe thats where they put that extra cashflow instead of pics

marquee has lost a few big name djs, however its still a great club,

 

its not what it was. its more a b level club ,what helps is the pool at nite. but there using more personalities like tao to draw u in.

everyone one wants the hot new one and marque is the old one .still love the place but as a turist destination when people come they want too say they went too the latest and best,

marquee is getting a little fresh air same with tao as tao in nyc has one one off the hotest lounges in nyc for the last 2 years

but its still packed ,to me there all interchangable

 

Was there for superbowl party, didn't hang around afterwards but the eye candy was amazing.

The crowd at Marquee is more diverse then the crowd at XS

 

Remember it's all about your shoes no matter what club you go to.

 

for me marquee and xs are the best clubs, hak layout is terrible without a table, sam as omnia, djs like calvin harris and and martin garrix are poor imo, much rather see eric prydz,

 

Thanks! Good info. I really hate the layout at HK as well. While Omnia is a beautiful venue something about the layout doesn't click with me either.

 

Are there any particular groups with a notably higher representation?

 

I called Cosmo and the desk guy told me that Marquee is independently owned. Separate from the hotel.

 

Yes in XS - Caucasian and Asian. Marquee is evenly split between everyone.
