We've never stayed at Caesar's but have stayed at MGM many times, and PH, Paris, Bally's, Bill's. We've decided to stay at Caesar's for our trip in May. We've booked an Augustus Tower Strip View room. It looks good. Is it a good choice?
I've stayed in this room many times, depending on where in the tower, you get a great view of the Bellagio fountains. It is one of the nicest hotel rooms that CET offers. I prefer the octavious tower, but only because it is newer.
1)It's the Augustus tower. 2)It's the closest to the 7* valet (but if you're not 7*, there no advantage) 3)It's closest to the Diamond checkin and Diamond lounge (but ditto the above if your not Diamond 4)It the furthest from the casino floor 5)I have only stayed there and NOBU, and they are largest and nice rooms 6)Fountain views are gorgeous, non-fountain views are "meh".
I choose Augustus over Octavius because the Augustus is enough of a hike to get anywhere and the Octavius is just ridiculous. By the time you get to the Octavius tower you realize they should have a tram in service! There is an easy shortcut to the Strip...specifically Bellagio. Exit the Caesars property at the 7*/diamond valet entrance right next to the diamond lounge/Augustus tower. Walk to your left and you'll come up to the elevator for the bridge connecting Caesars with Bellagio. Quick and easy!
We had an Augustus Tower room a handful of years ago for the wife's birthday. Fountain view was pretty cool.
The times we have walked by the Caesar check-in my wife told me she never wanted to stay there because everything was so spread out and she felt sorry seeing people lugging their stuff for what seemed miles, it being the nicest of the CET properties notwithstanding.
Augustus Tower elevator is about a 30 second walk from check in. Maybe a 2 minute walk to the Forum tower. We stay in the Augustus Tower and love it.
I stayed at the Augustus towers the first time I ever stayed at Caesars. The tower is right next to check in and very convient. It is opulent to stay the least. I've been staying in the Octavious tower lately. I like it because it's right next to the pool entrance. Unfortunately the Octavious tower is a bit of a stroll to get back to the main casino. I think you made a fine choice.
Yeah, Augustus rooms are nice. The higher the floor, the better view you will have of the fountains, but even on a low floor, the strip view is nice, not the best in town by any means, but nice.
I assume you mean Augustus. (Singular) It was probably the best hotel room I've ever stayed in, period! Dynamite view!
I stayed in the Augustus Tower for the first time two weeks ago. Room was very nice and it was very convenient to check in and the casino. My particular room was right off the elevator on a low floor so I did not have the best view. I was there on business and gazing at the fountains was not part of the program anyway. I did have a little street noise from Flamingo but it was not horrible.
