Since it's the official Louisiana crawfish season, does anyone know of a place on the Strip or Downtown that serves them? The imitation chinese buffet ones don't count! LoL. Will be there in a couple weeks so was just wondering. One thing I miss about growing up in Louisiana.

The Harrahs oyster bar used to fly in fresh from Louisiana daily, this was years ago and not sure if they still do

There's Hot N' Juicy Crawfish slightly off the strip in Chinatown, if you're willing to make the trip.

I knew there was a Hot N Juicy Crawfish off the strip, but didn't know about one in the Miracle Mile Shop. I will also check with Harrahs. Thanks for the info folks!

I saw crawfish on the buffet at Caesars a few days ago. Although I did not try them since I am from Houston and eat them all the time.

Now I'm really hungry for crawfish! Lol I got sick of them when I lived in Louisiana, but they make an amazing Cajun rice stuffing for whole birds. Put a ton of the meat from them and shrimp in it and stuff a chicken or turkey with it. Wish I could find them here to make it. ;) I was going to suggest Hot & Juicy and Oyster Bar as well.

I'm from Chicago and never had a crawfish ever, until I was about 55 Y/O at the buffet at The Orleans. It's been a few years but they had a section with them all packed in ice like the cocktail shrimp. I didn't know the trick to breaking them & getting to the inside flavors. I had to ask the guy seated by us who had a whole dinner plate stacked about 5 inches high. Not bad but I have other faves. Don't think I'll eat them again. Too much work. Call The Orleans to see if they have them in season Salty, Good Luck, hope you find some.

They have them or did at the buffet at Fremont on seafood night. I've never had them before and have always wanted to try them. I thought they tasted a bit muddy though.

    Hope that helps.

cold crawfish suck, you need them hot out the pot, lol...once you get the technique down, you will zip through them...from what I see, most buffets in vegas have the asian crawfish and are always cold with some kind of nasty sauce one the shell

few weeks ago when season opened here, they were around $6:50+ a lb...we are down to around $5.50 a lb boiled, $1 cheaper for live...after easter they drop way in price

I do remember watching an episode of Kounts Customs and the Golden Nugget doing a boil for them, said they have them there

Yeah cold crawfish on the buffet aren't any good. That's sorta what I was referring to as "chinese buffet". My friend in La said he has been getting them 2.50$ lb live & 5$lb boiled. He is boiling a bunch this weekend & wanted me & Mrs Salty to come down for it, but it's too close to my Vegas trip to go. Lol

I tried it and liked it! I can't imagine eating it cold. When I tried it I didn't really know how to eat them until I watched people on another table and when they saw me they showed me more closely and how you suck the juices out of them.

To me I think how you boil them is the key. There were times they were hot, juicy, and full of flavor and there were times it was bland. Is it possible that they taste better when in season?
