I think it was somewhere near the present day Hard Rock.

Wikipedia claims, for whatever it's worth, that the address was 377 E Flamingo Rd. So that'd near Paradise, about a block north of the Hard Rock as Breeze suggests.

Yeah, it was this piss poor blue shack of a building on Flamingo with a small parking lot. Very similar to the feel of the Klondike on the South Strip when it was around.

Walked there from the Tuscany in 2004 for the $1.99 burger & fries special. Then we won $250 after lunch playing in the tiny casino. It was great!

I used to love the "resort". Great little restaurant, small pit of table games, really cheap drinks at the bar, and an inexpensive room that allowed me to be a degenerate elsewhere. Now its just a vacant lot where several homeless encampments have popped up and I don't see any plans for development there anytime soon.

I only remember going there once, walking up there the one time we stayed at Terrible's. We didn't stay long. It was small, dark, empty, and nothing to go out of your way for. I hate to see any independent place go, but this one really didn't have that much going for it.

I found this one shot. I'm sure I have others and I'll try to dig some out if I have time tonight. This was after the closure.

Yeah I only remember it in terms of driving by in a cab and wanting to jump the fence and see what's in there - what is that truck doing there, BTW?

It wasn't really that bad of a place in the '70's. They had a cool little tropical feel restaurant. Smallish casino but open and bright.

For those who follow along with Breeze posts, this is the place I had confused with Trader Vic's. Give me a break. Millions of brain cells have died since the mid-70's.

I stayed there a few times when it was La Mirage.I didn't stay there after it became Key Largo. It was always the lowest price of the Funjet packages and back then (late 80's) that was the best way to go. It wasn't bad. The pool was in a center courtyard, the casino small but fun. The Continental (now Silver Sevens) across the street. Not a bad walk to the strip. Could stop in Maxim and Bourbon Street before reaching the strip. Good memories of La Mirage/Key Largo.

While I never went there, in the mid 1990s a buddy and I played doubles tennis against the Key Largo owner and a fireman from Texas.

I would stop by there for the Jacks or Better paytable that paid 7 on the flush instead of 6.

It was the first place we stayed on our first trip to Vegas. It was OK for the price we paid. This was December 2000.

Was it across from Terribles (Silver Sevens) ? There's a gas station/convenience store there now I think. A buddy and I walked through once, but didn't stay. I recall low ceilings and a crowded floor.

    Good Luck!

Yes it was across the street. It was called the Continental (at least when Key Largo was La Mirage).. Then Terribles, and now SS.

Definitely low ceilings. Small casino. I only remember 4 or 5 blackjack tables and don't remember if they had craps. And machines of course.
