CET Newbie...how much coin-in daily to be in the black on a free night in a standard room at Ballys

I'm mlife and Cosmo, but CET is generous with room offers, despite almost nonexistent play levels, but CET is uncharted territory for me.

I have 3+ nights free at most CET hotels, and was considering booking a room under my name for the inlaws to use. (Their CC for incidentals, and I'd of course check in.)

I dont want to abuse the comp, so it would be nice to know what an OK amount of coin-in would be to justify a 3 night comped room at Ballys....

PS Can I play at any CET hotel to justify comps? Mlife it's play where you stay (except Corp offer), but I've always heard CET can be anywhere. Just want to make sure this ok, or if it helps to play at comped hotel.....

 

Hard to say, but I will tell you what we do.

Our play in Vegas is pretty much all Mlife. We usually book a CET room to take advantage of some offer, or give room to a friend. We do not play much in Vegas with CET, but do play heavy with them elsewhere - high diamond. I doubt our play covers the room cost.

Yes, you can play at ANY of the CET hotels in Vegas for ADT purposes.

 

Play what you're comfortable with. You already booked the comp'd room, it's not like they will charge you afterwards if your play didn't warrant the free room (only happens if you have a deal with a host). What it does affect is future offers. I don't really know how CET calculates these things but like I said, just play what you are comfortable with and don't chase comps.

 

I've heard if you dont gamble, They will never give you another room comp'd ever again unless you show them you drop money in one of their casinos. Another poster complained of this very recently in this forum. Drop a couple hundred in coin in that should make them happy.

 

Thanks All! I definitely will play some...I'm too much of a stressball to no-play as I'd feel to guilty. I just would like to cover the bare minimum to stay in ok graces, so this all helps.

Like Nostress all my play is at mlife/cosmo. This actually will be fun for me, as I am so careful on comps I never let myself play outside of those two, and this gives me an excuse to drop a little coin in at a new place.

any property in vegas will count .and just drop something every day or a bunch one day. u can make it up.

ive no played plenty off times becuase ive over played and took nothing so it averaged out.

 

Ballys standard rooms have a comp rate of maybe $60 per night for Indigo tower, probably $80 or so for Jubilee (I've been told these figures in the past, can't remember them exactly though).

Using the rough estimate of getting about a third of your expected loss back in the form of comps, generating a couple hundred $ per day in theo should cover the cost of the room.

 

and using rough estimate at 90% slot machine, it would take about $2000 +- coin in for $200 +- theo

 

90% slot return? is it really that bad there?

 

do the inlaws gamble? maybe let them use your players card in return for the "free" room.

I'm OK not meeting theo, im good with "close," I just want to give them enough play so they may not love me, but they don't hate me.

I never use CET so I wouldn't be heart broken if I lost future comps (and I want to focus the brunt of my play on my home bases), I just don't want to abuse the comp. My father in law gambles plenty, he just never uses his stinking card!

 

Depends on what denom you're playing. I doubt you'll find a 90% return for penny slots anywhere on the strip. But for $5 machines, 90% would be pretty terrible.

 

90% would be generous if they play pennies. Slot machines keep the casino's lights on.

 

If you can find older outdated titles they probably can't be adjusted down below 89% (think 'Shake your Booty' from IGT for instance). Many new penny machines are probably down in the 84% range.

 

was just using 90% as an example.. Could be 87, 84, etc. Just rounding off for purposes of simplicity. Of course there are other determining factors including table play, etc
