@NewOrleansSlimm - thank you for the information on the pasteurized oysters, makes perfect sense.

    Nice report!
Seemed like you had a wonderful trip to NO.
The Gulf coast has lots of good food, that's for sure.

    Hi DaiLun:

I take back my comment about stooping to a buffet in New Orleans. I think you made up for that with Antoine's and Commander's Palace.

When I was a college student I could not afford Commander's Palace so years later with my family, including my teenage son, I made sure to eat there. We even brought my son's sport coat given the dress code. The kids, however, got antsy as the service seemed slow between courses. I am not sure if it was intentional as maybe guests there prefer somewhat unhurried dining service.

I hope losses you had, if any, did not swamp the promotional chips you took from Lake Tahoe and Reno.

    Cheers,

    FAB

Thanks for a really entertaining TR. Other than Treasure Chest, I have gambled in every place that you visited. In fact, we were at Harrah's New Orleans for 3 nights around Christmas and have 3 nights booked at Beau Rivage in Feb. You did a little more premier eating than we usually do but you made it sound great. Glad you had fun.

I tried that, and can't go within 1000 yards of the school now.

Great report! It's nice to have a decent report from places other than Vegas.

No offense taken. I was disappointed with the oysters at Grand Island, but that has been explained. My budget was the promo chips that I converted at Lake Tahoe/Reno, and I stayed within that. I'm at San Jose airport waiting to go to LV for a few hours.

Tunica is my next "destination". How'd you do? Is there a TR?

Considering my notable lack of wins slash I wrote two winning reports in the last two months here, I was gonna pass this time as my results this trip wiped out one of those $200 wins...boo. @jpw711 may want to sum something up though. Had a good time hanging out with him and @martinr. You have any idea when you're planning to go? I have had made it a bit of a habit in recent years to show up around my birthday, March 20th. If our schedules coordinated, I would try to make another trip down.

Had a good time with you and @jpw711 as well. How did the jaunt over to The Hollywood go for you guys? Don't forget about me when you're planning your next trips to Tunica.

Worked well for @jpw711 for a quick freeplay burn. I just watched him hit consistently. [emoji6] Hollywood is generally a VP wasteland. We actually spent more time at Sam's Town because we prefer it. I broke even there with 22223 at "full pay" Jacks or Better for $31.25. But "America's Favorite Game" would have paid $200 for that instead. Doh!

Definitely won't forget. Shooting for B-Day next month, unless it's Vegas instead. My B-day actually falls on a Tuesday, so maybe Vegas... [emoji6]

@martinr, I actually booked a win at every casino except sams town. Hollywood was good to me both trips over, love double dipping the freeplay.

If we could get @tring to eat a little faster, there would be more playtime!
