A friend of mine is going to be staying in Las Vegas for one night. She will be with her husband. She wants to stay on the Strip in a casino that has affordable, clean and comfortable rooms. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yikes, I'm not sure you could have asked a more subjective question, haha. What's affordable to them - $59 or $299? Is it a weekend stay? Clean and comfortable - anywhere but Circus Circus manor rooms. Not being snarky but, really, anywhere on the strip depending on budget is going to be fine.

If someone asked me and said low to mid $100's per night I'd check Aria first - just a personal preference because it's newer and I like the casino/food options.

Need some more info on this one. Interests? (clubs, good food, cheap food, high limit gambling, lowest minimum gambling). Age/demographic? 20 year olds tend to look for different hotels than 70 year olds (or even late 30/40 somethings). Rough budget range? The more info you can provide, the better answer. Otherwise, affordable, clean, and comfortable is probably a dozen casinos on the strip.

Maybe Flamingo or Bally's? Both are decent and not too expensive.

If it's just one night then yeah something like Bally's, Harrah's or Flamingo would suffice as affordable with a good center strip location. It does really depend on budget though. If your friend considers $200 affordable then scrap those 3 and move up a level. And of course it matters if it's weeknight vs, weekend

Aria for a one night, first time visitor would probably not be the best bet. High cost, set back from strip, etc.

I think Ballys/Paris would work fine as that would put them somewhat in the middle of things.

Are they planning to see any shows? What is the date? Driving, flying? What do you think they will be doing on this one night?

One night? Cosmo fountain view rooms with the balcony will be the best way to experience the strip.

Ballys Jubilee tower, ask for a fountain view. They have coffee pots and small refrigerators. If it's a weekend, there will be noise from Chateau at Paris, but nothing that setting the sleep timer on the TV can't fix.

Just one night? Man...that's hard. Why not Paris/Bally's/Flamingo...all center strip and don't cost that much. When we use the term 'affordable', in poking around the interwebs, Paris has rooms for +/- 100 night in February - while the Hampton Inn (within "walking distance" ;) of the strip) runs about the same. I reckon anything center strip would be ideal.

Actually, it could be a few hundred.
June 3rd has Cosmo fountain view at $440. Harrahs $139

Yea, we love that view at Cosmo. But a first timer will/should be out and about as much as possible to experience Vegas.

By the way, we are doing Cosmo again on our next trip.

LOL at this response. When one of the requests by OP is "affordable", top of the market is probably not the way to go

At the same time, several places would hit the mark. Paris/Planet Hollywood are often $100 on weeknights. Bally's to me is the perfect compomise of price and location. Anyplace on the South Strip other than Mandalay Bay would probably work. TI sometimes has surprisingly good prices. The old standbys are Flamingo/Harrahs/Linq

If you are going to be there for one night as a first timer I recommend something that would be more iconic like Mirage.

I recommend for ons strip hotels: Aria, Planet Hollywood, Vdara & MGM Grand. For off strip hotels: M Resort, Embassy Suites Paradise, Gold Coast

I would have to throw my opinion to Ballys... get a Jubilee room, ask for a fountain view.... center strip, affordable, connected to Paris, coffee maker (VERY important in my book, and yes I know it's not good coffee, but it starts the day).

For first-timers, I always recommend the Bellagio lakeview. On a budget, Bally's Jubilee rooms.
