I take too much coffee, too much booze, and too many cigarettes. I sleep terribly.

Stay up until I'm exhausted and my body shuts down.

I try to sleep well but it never really happens. I've had a few nights where I slept well but for the most part it's degen until I pass out

At 21 years of age, I didnt.

    25... 3-6 hours per night
    31... 4-8
    36... 9-10

Figure if I make it past 50, I'll sleep thru the whole damn trip.

Like at home, poorly. If anything, I stay up later and 'crash' until early the next morning.

But, early morning gambling is always a treat!

I should add that with Ambien I often wake up with the TV still on. Ambien is some powerful stuff.

I go for eight days every trip so I don't wear myself out. Usually the first night I have to double up on my dose of Ambien and I wake up on morning one feeling like a million bucks. Before I started taking Ambien I was taking Melatonin but that never worked for me in Vegas so I would go down to the gift shop and get some Tylenol PM. It worked but it gave me one helluva hangover effect the next day.

Like a baby for 8- 9.5 hours. We stay for 8-12 days, and lots of sleep is part of my recharge. I play hard in Vegas and I relax hard...and I come back totally refreshed! (After the first day back, first day back is always a doozie)

Ambien scares me. I've read so many horror stories about it.

If I need a sleep aid I'll use Advil PM

I was hoping no one brought up this topic. Now I'm compelled to share my personal embarrassing stories about how Ambien causes a person to do weird things. Ok now you've twisted my arm into sharing my stories. My most embarrassing moment occurred at Las Vegas Club hotel. To give you an idea of myself, I'm a 51 yr old single man, 5' -7", 165 lbs. I sleep in short pants and shirtless. I woke up and walked to use my bathroom and opened the door and before realizing the door shut behind me, the front door and not the bathroom door. At that moment I realized that I had just locked myself out of my room. I had to go downstairs (shirtless but in short pants) to the front desk to get another room key. Most embarrassing moment of my life. I'm just glad I don't sleep in my undies or naked.

Or I like to bring snacks. Sometimes I would wake up to an empty bag of potato chips, Oreos, or beef jerky and crumbs on the bed and floor. I wouldn't have any recollection of eating the snacks but no one else was in the room except myself. That was basically the extent to which I have had some weird moments after taking Ambien.

I have heard of people not knowing they were driving under the influence of Ambien, that is scary.
