Probably cost $50 to $100 for a regular game. More like $200 to $300 for a Superbowl in Vegas. It was $150 to park at Superbowl 48.

It was upward of $120- $150 for parking at the 10 century old LA Colisium for the Rams season opener.

I'm in Portland and go to Seattle sometimes. The parking fees make Vegas look like chump change. This is why I don't get as riled as others on fees, and also why I make sure to make the money I do spend on gambling, work for me in comps. Fees in Vegas are bad, but you're seeing they can get much, much worse. :(

Case in point. We stayed in a pretty room in Seattle for a company party. Pretty, but not a suite. $249 for the room, $38 for parking, and THEN they charged us $12 for a group discount fee. Um, discount FEE? Seriously?

Vegas is definitely expensive, and getting more so by the day. But this just shows, when you compare it to a big city, it can still be bargain if you do your research and pick the right place for your budget.

Plus, what other city can you take your extracurricular activities, and ask if you spent enough to get comps/discounts? :) Not Seattle, I can guarantee you that!

    Google disagrees:

Starbucks has 23 coffee shops for every 100,000 residents in Seattle, the most per-capita in the U.S. That basically means there's one Starbucks store for every 4,000 people, according to data the company released a few years ago.

Usually there are two parking fees. One, which is cheaper if you park the car and let it sit, and another more expensive one for what they call "in and out". which is someone who will be going in and out of the parking structure a couple times a day.

Same with San Diego hotels. I have seen higher as well. How does the room rate compare to vegas? Here the hotels are expensive.

makes you think twice about the misery of $10 parking in vegas.

I used to live in NYC and it was more expensive to park my car than my car payment plus insurance. It didn't take too long before I just sold my car.

Unfortunately that is the situation in many cities. Best to check first before you park to find out. Actually for some events like conferences you need to ask because they may validate your ticket so you don't have to pay as high a price for parking. Since you didn't get your ticket validated you pay the full price.

I find in many cities they charge you high prices for parking. Like resort fees I just put it down to "added expenses".

wow, that many strip clubs? Surprised I haven't heard about that. But then how "restrictive" are they in the strip clubs? I heard that in some cities (like Honolulu) the strip clubs do not allow any contact or very little contact but I would think having 56 strip clubs must mean that they have a lot of business. I also heard other cities with good clubs are Houston, maybe Austin and Orlando.

Wow! I guess that is normal in the cities. Out here in the sticks, it would be pretty much unheard of to charge anything close to those prices. But, about all we have to as see are cows and trees.

Yep, that is pretty low for a downtown hotel. Has nothing to do with the $15 per hour minimum wage. Parking was that high before the $15 wage was even an idea. Many hotels have packages that include parking that are a great deal even if you don't need or use the rest of the package items.

Now maybe people will understand that Vegas charging for parking isn't out of the ordinary and even late to the game of it. Doesn't make it not suck but they are not an outlier doing this.
