I consider myself a low roller usually less than $1000 per day bankroll closer to $750 for my bank roll. I reached out a host just for extending an offer on hotel rooms when I was booking a trip. That is all I use him for and he never lets me down and probably over delivers for us.

If this play is all on slots that will get the attention of most hosts. Unless you are betting $50 a spin for 5 mins and leaving. Thats pretty much my level of play and I have a host at every property I stay at.

OP, Pro's of having a host are:
They can usually get you a room if its showing sold out online.
They can usually request a room above a standard.
They can look at your play on the backend of your stay to see if they can do something more. Sometimes you over kick your coverage on a corporate offer.
They can hook you up with a ride if you need one.
    ETC

    Con's:
Some people, myself included, might feel like they have to gamble a certain level when a host is involved.
They will often call/email you looking for your business.
They can badger you if you are not playing up to snuff (it hurts them since they are attached to you)

So it depends on what level of player you are I guess.
