ive seen mention in a few posts of people claiming that they keep getting free cruise offers from various casinos, but the only free cruise offer that I see publicized is the 7* annual one, (and as discussed previously upping my play just to get 7* is not a smart idea) What casinos give these offers and how do you get them? (I realize its probably cheaper for me to just pay for the cruise than gambling just to get it, but I'm curious)
i've received flyers from CET and Venetian/Palazzo offering a free cruise trip if staying on specific days (i'm pretty sure it was both CET and V/P) and you have to go pick up the ticket during the time window provided unfortunately, i haven't actually taken advantage of a free cruise offer so i cannot tell you anything beyond that
I am very low Diamond (less than 20k Tier Credits per year), and I get the free cruise offers from CET pretty regularly. Similar to the above, I have never taken them up on it.
do you know if its the same cruise that the 7* members get? my wife wont stay in anything less than a balcony or mini-suite
As a MGM platinum member (Of course Noir gets it well) I get up to 4 nights 5 days cruise on Royal and Caribbean cruise lines..it's annual trip they offer; I also believe they comp you private Resturant dinner on cruise, free drinks voucher, free internet etc. it's pretty good offer I haven't take the offer yet. Also, mlife members we get offers for Atlantis as well.
I recently claimed my free cruise from Venetian/Palazzo but get them regularly from CET and V/P at least 3 offers yearly from V/P. It is for a oceanview cabin for 2 but you can upgrade your room with points you earn during the promotion period. I upgraded mine to a mini suite. It's good for up to 15 days going to Hawaii, Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and Europe are some of the options. You have to pay port charges as well as gratuities and of course to get to the port of the cruise you select. I'm booked on a Caribbean cruise leaving out of Ft Lauderdale from 2/16-2/28. It's on Princess and I was able to add my youngest 2 children for $500 each. It's definitely not free but the main part for my husband and I was given as a promo. I'm going to regularly pick up the vouchers during the promotion periods for now on though as I can use it to take my older kids or mom on a vacation at a lot lower cost.
Many, many casinos will offer free cruises. They are offered to players based on their average play. Usually not tier, but play. The casino offers it to get you into their casino in hopes you will "donate" plenty. The cruise line offers it with hopes you will donate on the ship in their casino. Neither one will offer it to a player that only does a few hundred dollars on most casino visits. That room costs too much. The lower level players get inside. Higher get balcony - all depending on play. We have done many "free" cruises. I can no longer afford them and have avoided taking them up on the many offers we get. Even got an offer for Haven on NCL recentlly. Just can not afford what it costs me in the casino. The 7star trip is a bit different. It is because of level and is an annual thing. We were NOIR once but opted not to take the free cruise they offered for two reasons. First it was Caribbean only and 2nd - too many losses.
the VP offer sounds nice, but we dont stay or play at VP, and its not worth it to us to stay/play there in search of offers, it would have to be CET (I like the VP at ceasars palace)
Rule #1 don't play for comps. Want to go on a cruise? Buy it yourself, it'll cost a lot less than you'll lose trying to gamble your way there. I look at benefits like this as a bonus. If my normal gambling gets me the offer, great. I'll take advantage. But don't change your style or get in over your head just to get a free cruise.
I don't play for the cruises though in fact I get them from CET and I only drop in play once or twice a year. I have no idea how I get them as I'm only platinum with them. Lol So I think they just computer generate the cruise offers as I'm not a big player at all.
Slots mostly and the occasional VP at the bar. Table games are rare for me but I will play once in a blue moon.
I have a Cruise offer that I'm picking up from CET next month. Wife and I are pretty excited. We were already talking about taking a cruise this year for our anniversary.
Rooms on cruise ships are pretty much the same, within each category. A low diamond might get an inside, oceanview, balcony or suite. Cabins are NOT assigned or offered based on tier level. They are based on play.
I too have gotten free cruise offers from CET several times. I actually went and picked up the voucher ( I believe it was for Norwegian) and checked the dates/departure cities. Those looked good but the free offer was for an interior room. By the time I upgraded to a balcony, it was going to cost enough that I declined the entire thing.
MLIFE Platinum and Noir get annual cruise or credit to book a cruise. The more you play you can get a longer duration or more credit.
