Can any of you Vegas savvy folks recommend other "dives" or "unique" places similar to the two I mentioned? Preferably within a "safe" walking distance (there will be 2 to 4 of us) from either DT or the Strip, or, a simple Uber ride away.

    Thanks!

Beauty Bar downtown. Kind of an offbeat place. Frequently a live band, or rather there was a few years ago, have not been downtown recently. LOL, the bouncer insisted on a hug when we left! :)

I loved the Golden Tiki first visit, too elitist second visit. And indeterminate folk music - gag. I would only go back if they had reggae night again or a special guest.

Downtown I would try the Griffin or Atomic Liquors next. Haven't been yet but they seem cut from the same cloth as those you mentioned. Maybe other members know more about them.

Stage Door right behind the Cromwell. It's quite divey.

Second the Stage Door... it's perfect! Also recommend Hogs n Heifers downtown & Champagne Cafe. Enjoy!

You covered two in the "trifecta"; Dino's is the third.
