Hi all just booked our first trip to vegas can't wait. Stopping at the vdara in a city corner suite.

Looking forward to a bit of gambling couple of shows and general tourist stuff.

Things I'd like to do are.

    1. Penn and teller. Hope they are on then any idea when the calendar comes out for november?

    2. MJ one

    3. Gun range. My wife doesn't want to shoot. Will she still be allowed on range to take pics or only people shooting?

    4. Fremont street on Friday night.

    5. High roler.

I love to read everyone's trip reports and thank everyone for taking the time to do them.

    Dan.

When on Fremont Street, do the Zip line - we loved it!!
I'm going in Feb and Sis and I are going to go to MJ One...hoping it's going to be good! We went to Beatles Love last time and it was brilliant!

Vdara is set back a little (we stayed there last time) with no casino, but we loved it - great to have a washing machine, large fridge etc. Didn't take too long to get to the strip by various means, either!

Regarding #3: It may depend on the gun range, but I am pretty sure your wife will be allowed on the range to take pictures of you shooting guns.

Regarding #5: The High Roller is a nice ride, but nothing spectacular.

We went on the High Roller - it wasn't busy and we got good views over a period of 20 minutes or so. We enjoyed it. For someone who has not been to Vegas before, I think it's a good way to spend some time and see the views.

Did you do the full zip or the half? It does look good.

What room did you have in vdara I'm hoping to get a fountain view but it wasn't an option on virgin's website to book. I will see if I can upgrade when we arrive.

I highly recommend Battlefield Vegas. Not cheap but worth it. On your. Specific question, I have a reasonably good memory of family members standing behind the shooters so I pretty photos will be allowed. Worst case scenario, the attendant used my photo to take some pics (I was on my own). Drop them an email?

P.S. Sorry for the disjointed note above; it's still early in the morning! I think the point is still clear.

We did the full one - it's over pretty quickly but it was fun!

I can't remember which room I was in, but it was over the fountains, and I think it was on one of the floors in the 30's! I do remember that some of the rooms (like mine) are kind of on a corner and you get a good view into the 'neighbour's' bedroom....just something you might need to keep in mind!! ;)

I'm also from the U.K mate and did the 1st 4 things (high roller was built) on your list on my 1st visit a few years back and I recommend them all. I did the gun range on north end of the strip near The STRAT and accross from the bonanza gift shop and my Mrs was in with me taking the photos and videos of me shooting however there did seem to be cheaper gun range options available. Mj one was a mind blowing show Imo. Another recommendation from me would be the thrill rides at the top of the Stratosphere although there are so many things to do. I am going back in may and can't wait!

That is indeed Battlefield Vegas. My two cents: there might be cheaper options but I was very impressed with the professional yet friendly attitude of the trainers so I thought it was good value.

I definitely have no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed it and agree very professional and friendly and gods for me who had never shot a real gun before. The fact it was on the strip made it easy to get to and most of the other gun places were off strip so taking into account taxi fares it probably didn't work out to be that much cheaper than the off strip places.

Thanks TrueblueAl (you say you're from the UK but that name is very Aussie! Maybe both?)

Anyway, your comments reminded me that Battlefield Vegas will also pick you up and drop you off to your hotel in their Hummer so nil transport fees apart from a tip.

Dan add the Bellagio fountains to your list. Your wife will love the shows and it's free. In fact walk in and see the floral arrangements they have there too.
If you like a nice view and people watching have breakfast at Mon Gab Ami in Paris. Get a seat on the terrace.
