What premium bottled water is offered at strip casinos. Does anywhere offer smart water or Voss. I know Voss used to be in Caesars high limit but I think it was discontinued about a year ago

I've gotten Fiji at the VP bar at Cromwell. I also have had Voss served to me at The Trop in their sports book area .

I think Fiji tastes better than the standard bottles of water that they hand out, but I only care enough to ask for it when I am with one friend who ALWAYS asks for Fiji. If she's getting it, I want it too! But I wouldn't pay an extra nickel for Fiji.

I don't think any casino serves smart water though.

Which post are you adding your "1+" to? Was there a certain water you liked?

Here's the guy who is the only certified "water sommelier" in the United States. He created a 45 page water menu at his LA restaurant.

I've read an interview with him where he noted that Fiji is his "base water" against which he compares all else. And yes, he acknowledges how utterly absurd his profession is.

I was +1ing the absurdity and annoyance of the post. Normally, I just "let them go", but I wanted to acknowledge the guys who had the balls to make the statement.

Some people say water is just water. If you taste different bottled waters I think you will find there is a distinct difference. Secondly I would like to say that if I have a premium option available what is wrong with taking advantage of that. I have several brands that I specifically enjoy including Voss (The glass bottle version is the best) along with smart water. I do not see how this is any different than someone who asks if a specific type of beer is available. Should we start telling them to just drink a Bud Light and be happy with it? The fun thing about Vegas is you get to do things you wouldn't normally do at home. At home I do not generally spend extra for premium bottled water. One of the things I enjoy on my trips is having this option.

There is one acceptable reason to ask for a specific bottle (Fiji, any other) instead of the casino brand stuff.

    Bigger bottle.

The question is how much you are responding to branding and presentation vs the actual beverage. I'll happily blind test beers while you do waters.

The branding and presentation do add to the draw. Its nice to get something perceived as having higher value as a free perk. When I order drinks I generally order 2. I order an alcoholic beverage and I order a bottled water to go along with it

The only bottled water I have found that really doesn't thrill me is the Walmart Great Value brand. For some reason it has a 'flat' taste to me. However, not like the Strip hotels will be handing me Great Value brand so it won't really affect me.

In our local municipalities there is actually a significant taste difference between the two. I imagine it is dependent on filtering types & additives. But the one is 'fine' and the other is GOOD. I waitressed in the GOOD municipality at Perkins for years and I received probably several hundred comments about how good the water was. I still ask for a large water when I arrive. (It goes thru at McDs, BK etc but they must filter further because it isn't the same).

    Easter again..:
