So I called a Host at Horseshoe Hammond at they said they would comp one night and the other two would be consider after my play. Im a craps player with average bet of $300. I will be there 3 days and will gamble 5-6 hours a day. Anyone know how they comp? Will I get the the other rooms comped. Will they take off meals or anything else?

    Thansk, Trutt

Make sure your comped rooms are in Chicago. You don't want to stay anywhere near where the casino is.

Courtyard by Marriot or Ramada Inn. Not ideal, but trying to get to 7 stars this year and im not going to make it to Vegas 7 times this year. Never been to Hammond, but just 3 hours away. It is closet CET casino.

Curious to see what hotel they would comp, I am,sure they have partner hotels but honestly not owning a hotel on site it is much more expensive to comp them [for them]

CET not building a hotel there is so dumb. It's easily the highest grossing riverboat in Indiana. Highest grossing property outside of Vegas as well I think.

Ameristar Casino in East Chicago and Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City showed gains for the year, while Horseshoe Hammond Casino and Majestic Star Casinos I and II in Gary declined during 2016 compared to 2015.

Ameristar's yearly revenues were $229,658,931 in 2016 compared to $225,992,338 in 2015 and Blue Chip's were $161,957,776 compared to $157,436,110.

Horseshoe Hammond had yearly revenues of $418,542,159 compared to $432,836,537, Majestic Star I took in $90,607,298 compared to $92,350,530 and Majestic Star II brought in $67,054,291 compared to $68,041,011.

For the month of December, Ameristar took in $17.76 million in revenues compared to $20.08 million the same month the year before. Blue Chip brought in $12 million compared to $13.61 million, Horseshoe Hammond raked in $31.84 million versus $36.44 million, Majestic Star I took in $7.14 million compared to $7.31 million and Majestic Star II brought in $4.52 million compared to $5.41 million.

Raw numbers may be declining (they are in a lot of places), but it's still the highest grossing casino in the state, and probably the Midwest. How many high rollers reduce their play in Hammond just because they can't conveniently stay overnight?

But maybe I'm missing something behind not building a hotel.

And it's not like there is a bug glut of hotels in the area [downtown Chicago sure] and with its location just outside the city, last exit on 90 before the city, they'd have no problems filling the rooms. Maybe something in the agreement? Or a land issue?
